I can't imagine winning it on hard with my Lvl 60 party. Can you play the cameo battle as often as you want in this game? In Symphonia you couldn't do it again after the wirst win.

Reid is the BEST tales caracter ever made!... his arte "the aurora wall" in tales of abyss is perfect arte! his slogen and this skill is superb! the best i ever seen! it cud make it a bit better if combined with the Burning Fonix divine skill that!

@GazimoEnthra - I use this strategic in the battle, focus all players in the same enemy - kill Nanaly first (Her archer's skills isn't the problem but her spells are strong) after her, Reid (Full Attack but beware with he's aurora, after that kill Nanaly again and get Reid) after that Philia (She change her spells by the life gauge, 100~70% Weak - Flare Tornado/Eruption when she get critical, doing the Sacred Penance)...
@GazimoEnthra ...and finally Mint (Mint don't healing or ress anyone (like Philia) if her life gauge isn't critical, she can doing First Aid (80% Life Gauge)/Heal (60%)/Cure(50%)/Revitalize(30%) once and Ress twice (70%)

When I first heard this I was fighting them on my third playthrough on Very Hard. I was so shocked about the song change, that two of my four people died from the rezzed characters.
OMG I got my ass whiiiipped sooooo many times i cant count! They honestly wiped the floor with me like 8 times. Too bad i didnt get a chance to fight them on Unknown Difficutly cuz my game broke from planying to much (ps2 scratched it too bad)
Ultimate Cameo battle is the ultimate battle of this game. The best way to extend it's epicness is to first take out everyone but Reid so that he can Aurora Wall everyone back to life. That is, after they exhaust their life bottles and ressurection. Cameos with life bottles, really?
I just killed Nebilim and the Cameos. Comparing both fights, Nebilim is the longest one, took me 70 mins on unknown with a lvl 200 group, but it isn't as half fun and hard as the cameos. I mean, her fragmented end did some easy 200k dmg on me, but nothing can beat getting a big bang followed by an explosion right at the beginning of the fight. Overall, Cameos = more fun, more challenging. Nebilim = longer lasting.
Indeed, I have a save right before the Cameo Battle cause it's so fun:D Level 200, and on Unknown, I think I can get 15 minutes to 30 minutes, somewhere in there, I'm not to sure where though...
I agree to some extent, took me 45 mins to get nebilim dead, and there chance of 1 shooting your party was high, half of the time i had 1-2 people dead. Natalia + Tear+Jade(dmg)+Luke(i control it while giving instructions to the other 3 and use Luke to avoid nebilim from raping).... I had ... quite a few? unlucky meteors....

On cameo was more intense contstantly though, faster but everyone did more dmg... same goes for clones.... Its harder to control 3-4 targets
@GuiMendesGomes weird... me and some friends of mine killed her pretty quickly on our first try. probably because two of us went apeshit on her 3 seconds into the battle. i died like, 50 TIMES!!! he only died about 20 times... but she died pretty quickly.
This is my favourite battle in the game don't you think especially on unknown on a really low level because the music rocks and there is a lot of action althougth don't you think Reid would be able to all the abyss party and win? I do for sure anyways thanks for putting this yamicin.
Nebilim took me longer probably cause I was using Anise in place of guy cause she can learn Resurrection, from stealing time traveling girl from Arietta, trio god gen fight.
Nebilim isn't really "hard" on Unknown. Shes more of a patience test, as you will probably do some crap dmg to her already small HP pool. Cameos on the other hand, are the ultimate gaming test, as not are they strong, their AI is incredible, and they can do pretty much everything you can do and more, but faster and more efficiently.
I wasn't even level 200 when I tried, I was level 157, all we were doing was just 200 to 350, Jade and Tear did only 55 to 130, and we were horribly owned thanks to Sacred Penance and Aurora Wall.
I was just saying. Because you'll do only about 300 damage more than you did. Not a very Useful method when Two people in the group know Ressurection and their mystic artes kill you near instantly.
Nebilim don't get me started with her, she has almost every mystic arte, and what wrong is that only the character you control has any chance of moving away, only had 1 life bottle left at the end T.T
You HAVE to have Ressurection because Luke and Guy's AI is so stupid that they run into every attack. ;~; Anise with Ressurection and Tear is a good idea.
I know, for the trio God General battle I played unknown, I used Luke, Tear, Jade, and Natalia(cause she had revive) and it ended with me using only 3 life bottles thanks to that.
Learn to switch to the character she targets and free run away from her spell. It's actually easy. As I just said to someone else, the hardest arte to free run away from is thunder blade, mainly because it has such a big range and partly because you can't always tell who it's aimed at.
Ehhh... Nebilim is actually easier, as it's much easier to free run away from her artes. The only one which is sem-difficult to avoid is thunder blade.
It took me like twenty tries to beat the cameo battle on hard, and only two to beat Nebilim.
For me, the Unknown Cameo Battle was more like, how fast could I kill Mint and force Reid to use Aurora Wall with Tear going into Overlimit due to AI(Set to "Save it" for Over Limit), cause I ALWAYS need Fortunes Arc to Revive Luke Guy and Jade from Death:P For me, I kill with the priority of Mint, Reid, Philia, Nannaly.
Philia 3rd due to Resurrection(Philia has itO_O), Reid 2nd caude Aurora Wall rezzs and heals and hurst like hell(Death no matter what on Unknown for those hit).
I remembered that when he did it, I had Luke use Guardian, twice and I don't know if I was lucky but he was left with around 1000 hp and he went from 9999hp.
O__________O Did your Luke have 5700 Defense or more or sumthin!? My Luke has 5653 Def and he dies, and you can't use Guardian in the middle of a combo that gets stopped by rapeage.
Actually, my luke had less defense but he had a skill that allowed him to recover half the damage the attack did, so I thought it did kill him but that skill saved him, oh and I used Guardian before they used their hi-ougis, and I was able to pull out two, poor Guy died, in two seconds.
No my luke had only 2007 defense, and it wasn't just guardian, have all your characters learn the skills, Glory(prevents stagger), Skill Guard(only for Luke, Guy, and Anise), Auto Aid(instant first aid on occasion), Angel Tear(instant rezz when hp is 0) Resurrect(instant rezz when hp hits 0 on occasion) and up to add combo 4(7 hit basic combo) and skills that allow you to connect base arte to base arte and base arte to arcane arte.
True to Natfailia, god she sucks the only thing going good for her is Revive and Nobles Roar, and I can't get that mystic arte cause I don't know how to get the elven bow.
Anise can pwn, if used correctly, I mean X buster pwned Reid, and Mint. Fever Time, hurts Phylia, and Nanaly, well Tear took her Fortunes Arc damage and rezz for the win.
Its sometimes though you need to time it right. I do know that if your close to someone using a Mystic arte and its targeted on you just before it don't do anything and backstep, then run, completely misses.
However the timing is well, hard, though it reduces damage from Mystic artes like big bang, and a few others, the timing is slip-shot. However guardian and magic guard against spells you pull out two one after the other.
Well, I do know theres a skill that takes half the damage you receive from an attack and uses that to heal you match that with auto aid and you can live through pretty much any mystic arte.
well u'd hav to hav alot of luck to b able to auto aid cuz guy almost never auto aids cuz he usually has small luk and i kno bout all the AD skills btw
Aurora wall and Burning phoenix FTW wish i could play as reid in that game or a mod of some kind just to play him in the newer tales game that have the ability to move around freely
When I first did the cameo battle and had a 1 on 1 fight with him (X10 experiance very hard, every one else was dead) I thought I figured out his attack pattern and then he used this. I was thouroughly devestated. He used his Needle Sword move and decimated me. What game is he on and what system? I wanna kick ass with him.
although it was originally called tales of eternia, namco america just screwed it up badly. but then again, mattel are also to blame. But then again, i'm british, so all i can do is complain about the mistakes that the americans make^^
Plz, dont use Tales of Desinty 2, if you want to use the original name, then use Tales of Destiny II (II and 2 is the difference bewteen ToE and the sequel of ToD)

Yeah, honestly, if you look storyline-wise, Reid is one of the most powerful characters in any Tales game. He has world destroying powers (well I guess world REVIVING powers) by the end of it. Kratos is cool and all, but Reid is basically a demi-god in the Eternia world. Kratos is just... really old. (j/k j/k)
i hum this all the time. and i really enjoyed this fight. i would kill everyone but reid and i would all pumped and go after him like a wild animal only to be greeted with aurora wall killing two OR MAYBE three of my characters and reviving the cameo characters.yep gooooood times.

Omg I was like oh &#$ when this happened. Thought for sure I was gonna pawn them on a higher difficulty. Reid was left, I was going in for the kill, then he uses this and everyone comes back to life! ._. After that I won, but was afraid hReid would use it at some point xD
This fight is simply awesome. You kill Phillia and Mint with one hell of a lot of trouble from Reid nuking you 11/10 times with his mystic, and when you finnaly get Reid to 50% HP you enter on insanity *W00T IMMA GONNA PWNZ0R HIM NAO!* *a few seconds later* *AURORA WALL* And you suddenly see all the 4 cameos back to full HP. You almost start to cry, but to those that like the pleasure to fight on this game, this is just ftw.
Aurora Wall Revives dead cameo chars and heal them a bit, so I say Kill Mint, get Reid to use Aurora Wall, kill Mint again, kill of Philia before she can rez Mint, if Mint gets rezzed kill her AGAIN, finish off Philia, then Reid but killing off Philia of Mint if the get rezzed by a life bottle. then your are left with litle old-and-weak Nanaly, wha to do with her... PWN HER!!!>:D That strat work even on Unknown mode.
WHAT?! The music changes when he does that I didn't hear that when I was watching the video of the 2p co-op battle against the cameos. I guess I was too focus on the battle. One thing's for sure I didn't know the game would totally play out differently in the difficult modes, as well as there were more secret stuff to do before you beat the game.
I think when I'm going to replay a Tales game, I'll try to buy the double experience, since the enemies are technically stronger anyway.
actually, replace Natalia with Chester or Tyrtree, and Keele with Jade, because I like it when they have a each person from a different game, and Jade is way too much win to not be included.

dang man ... that was such a cool strategy the makers put into the game- to make the swordsman (guy u all ignore at first) be the one to have mass resurection. While Tear the healer is the one that has it on your teem -.- .....
Well, being a Tales fan myself, I was really dissapointted as well. Just hope there'd be another good game coming on the Wii that is actually long in gameplay hours and has a good cameo battle.

This was actually a pretty easy battle. I did it on unknown, with level 150's. It's a good idea to bring Nebilim weapons, at least the strong types.

They have the perfect team; fast/heavy swordsman, archer, offensive mage, healer.
If Philia and Mint had unlimited Resurrection casts, it would have been even more crazy.

I wasn't even level 200 when I tried, I was level 157, all we were doing was just 200 to 350, Jade and Tear did only 55 to 130, and we were horribly owned thanks to Sacred Penance and Aurora Wall.

I was just saying. Because you'll do only about 300 damage more than you did. Not a very Useful method when Two people in the group know Ressurection and their mystic artes kill you near instantly.

Nebilim don't get me started with her, she has almost every mystic arte, and what wrong is that only the character you control has any chance of moving away, only had 1 life bottle left at the end T.T

Lucky. I didn't even have a gel or a bottle left. Worst part is that when your even at Max level, your doing like 20-100 damage.

I did bring Anise along, since her acessory gave her Ressurection, so she'd be able to help Tear in reviving Luke and Guy.

You HAVE to have Ressurection because Luke and Guy's AI is so stupid that they run into every attack. ;~; Anise with Ressurection and Tear is a good idea.

I know, for the trio God General battle I played unknown, I used Luke, Tear, Jade, and Natalia(cause she had revive) and it ended with me using only 3 life bottles thanks to that.

The Trio God General Battle on Unknown can go wrong instantly. Luke got owned by Prisim Ballet and it only got worse.

Learn to switch to the character she targets and free run away from her spell. It's actually easy. As I just said to someone else, the hardest arte to free run away from is thunder blade, mainly because it has such a big range and partly because you can't always tell who it's aimed at.

Ehhh... Nebilim is actually easier, as it's much easier to free run away from her artes. The only one which is sem-difficult to avoid is thunder blade.
It took me like twenty tries to beat the cameo battle on hard, and only two to beat Nebilim.

For me, the Unknown Cameo Battle was more like, how fast could I kill Mint and force Reid to use Aurora Wall with Tear going into Overlimit due to AI(Set to "Save it" for Over Limit), cause I ALWAYS need Fortunes Arc to Revive Luke Guy and Jade from Death:P For me, I kill with the priority of Mint, Reid, Philia, Nannaly.

Yeah Kill Mint since she can stop time and use Resurrection, Reid and Nannaly so they can't use Life bottles, or Philia with her annoying spells.

I remembered that when he did it, I had Luke use Guardian, twice and I don't know if I was lucky but he was left with around 1000 hp and he went from 9999hp.

O__________O Did your Luke have 5700 Defense or more or sumthin!? My Luke has 5653 Def and he dies, and you can't use Guardian in the middle of a combo that gets stopped by rapeage.

Actually, my luke had less defense but he had a skill that allowed him to recover half the damage the attack did, so I thought it did kill him but that skill saved him, oh and I used Guardian before they used their hi-ougis, and I was able to pull out two, poor Guy died, in two seconds.

No my luke had only 2007 defense, and it wasn't just guardian, have all your characters learn the skills, Glory(prevents stagger), Skill Guard(only for Luke, Guy, and Anise), Auto Aid(instant first aid on occasion), Angel Tear(instant rezz when hp is 0) Resurrect(instant rezz when hp hits 0 on occasion) and up to add combo 4(7 hit basic combo) and skills that allow you to connect base arte to base arte and base arte to arcane arte.

Anise can pwn, if used correctly, I mean X buster pwned Reid, and Mint. Fever Time, hurts Phylia, and Nanaly, well Tear took her Fortunes Arc damage and rezz for the win.

Its sometimes though you need to time it right. I do know that if your close to someone using a Mystic arte and its targeted on you just before it don't do anything and backstep, then run, completely misses.

However the timing is well, hard, though it reduces damage from Mystic artes like big bang, and a few others, the timing is slip-shot. However guardian and magic guard against spells you pull out two one after the other.

Well, I do know theres a skill that takes half the damage you receive from an attack and uses that to heal you match that with auto aid and you can live through pretty much any mystic arte.

When I first did the cameo battle and had a 1 on 1 fight with him (X10 experiance very hard, every one else was dead) I thought I figured out his attack pattern and then he used this. I was thouroughly devestated. He used his Needle Sword move and decimated me. What game is he on and what system? I wanna kick ass with him.

If we were to go along with the canon story... his abilities give him limitless potential. He has powers, 'literally', of a god.

Yeah, honestly, if you look storyline-wise, Reid is one of the most powerful characters in any Tales game. He has world destroying powers (well I guess world REVIVING powers) by the end of it. Kratos is cool and all, but Reid is basically a demi-god in the Eternia world. Kratos is just... really old. (j/k j/k)

This fight is simply awesome. You kill Phillia and Mint with one hell of a lot of trouble from Reid nuking you 11/10 times with his mystic, and when you finnaly get Reid to 50% HP you enter on insanity *W00T IMMA GONNA PWNZ0R HIM NAO!* *a few seconds later* *AURORA WALL* And you suddenly see all the 4 cameos back to full HP. You almost start to cry, but to those that like the pleasure to fight on this game, this is just ftw.

Aurora Wall Revives dead cameo chars and heal them a bit, so I say Kill Mint, get Reid to use Aurora Wall, kill Mint again, kill of Philia before she can rez Mint, if Mint gets rezzed kill her AGAIN, finish off Philia, then Reid but killing off Philia of Mint if the get rezzed by a life bottle. then your are left with litle old-and-weak Nanaly, wha to do with her... PWN HER!!!>:D That strat work even on Unknown mode.

WHAT?! The music changes when he does that I didn't hear that when I was watching the video of the 2p co-op battle against the cameos. I guess I was too focus on the battle. One thing's for sure I didn't know the game would totally play out differently in the difficult modes, as well as there were more secret stuff to do before you beat the game.
I think when I'm going to replay a Tales game, I'll try to buy the double experience, since the enemies are technically stronger anyway.

Vesperia was nice with the boss's, but fighting a bunch of Tales heros at once seems cooler than one on one-ing with a villian.
