I'm ashamed to admit I grew up watching this movie (because my parents encouraged me to), and I think it might explain why I have issues with fear and other things now as a 28 year old. This is an enormous bunch of bullshit looking back on it. The people responsible for propganda films like this had an amateur understanding of theology at best. If you think the book of revelation is going to occur literally, etc., you should get your head checked because you're probably clinically insane .

i had the same experience, in fact my parents were friends with the lead actress in this movie, she lived down the street from us. These movies scared me into religion (that was what the intention was anyway) I't amuses me that people still buy this load of crap.

@LastMilitia: Me too, and with all this apocalypse stuff going on over the last couple of days, I've been searching for the film that started it all -- ocd, rapture phobia, years of therapy; I finally stumbled upon this little gem. Raised in a church that condemned watching movies, at 6 years old, this was the first horror movie I ever watched AT CHURCH. I reviewed it last night, and it's still scary: the acting, the writing, and the creepy cult-like feel to it. There has to be a better way:)

The Bible uses the words fear God as not being afraid of him, but showing respect and love for him.

Must be you who is fearful, fearful of how Satan has tricked you into believing the rapture will never happen.

Read revelation, those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as there Saviour will perish in hell. Do I need to more frank, this movie is supposed to make people think. Seeing it for the first time is scary,w/out Christ in your life. We have nothing to fear with him. {John3:16}
