There used to be christmas carols (the religious ones) and christmas songs (the non religious ones). But now there are even 'holiday songs' for those even less christmas-sy. Its just sad.. Why not just go all the way and call them "songs-some-people-sing-in-december"
What's wrong with having some songs that are secular? It's not like religious songs have vanished.
Maybe you should enjoy the fact that this is the only time of the year when lots of normally secular radio and TV stations play lots of religious content.
