First of all, this isn't the Chigorin Defense. The Chigorin Defense is in the Queen's Gambit Declined and is 1. d4 d5 2. Nf3 Nc6. What he played is the Queen's Gambit Accepted which has absolutely nothing to do with the Chigorin Defense. Anyway, good game, I guess.
While 1. d4 d5 2. Nf3 Nc6 is QGD Chigorin Defense; Chigorin Defense also begins with the moves 1. d4 d5 2. c4 Nc6.
One of the main variations of the Chigorin Defense is 1. d4 d5 2. c4 Nc6 3. Nc3 dxc4 4. Nf3 Nf6 5. e4 Bg4. The game arrives at exactly same position after 1. d4 d5 2. c4 dxc4 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. Nc3 Bg4 5. e4 Nc6. Although it started as Queen's Gambit Accepted by an early ..dxc4, the game transposed to the Chigorin Defense on black's 5th move. Thanks for the observation piman842!
nice job, those time-scramble matches can get pretty crazy at the end. I've noticed that you have been improving since your first live videos too. I think these live videos are great for improvement because you can go back and understand why and how you were thinking during the game. I make them myself but i havent posted any yet. Keep up the good work!
