  • i don't understand why people freak out or get all polictical correct about gijoe?. half the people who say crap about us have never lived outside the states and see just how messed up the world is. and as far as obama his legacy won't be set until years after everything is fixed. good bad what ever. i'm no fan of his and i did'nt vote for him. everybody wants to try and bring us down. gotta ask what for? last time we turned are backs ww2 happend. and with the muslims spreading like cancer..???

  • They aired on RPN 9 here Philippines back in the 80's.

I think that's was 2 years before the August 1986 coup attempt.

    What a history

  • My First Cartoon :D

I had a crush on Baroness & loved that White Ninja Dude from Cobra, He was cool !

  • I love the Joes and still have the toys but I gotta say that the first season intro really sucks!!

  • A american military propaganda!

  • @sapexec

Wow, your comment must've really gotten to Obama

  • G.I. Joe

    stands for Gay Idiot Joe

  • Yo! Joe's!

  • I like how at 0:30 he throws his explosive and then shoots it to detonate it uselessly in midair.

  • In Age of Obama toys like this are bad. They teach violence and imperialism over the poor and misunderstood Cobra.

  • All those explosions...why didn't Michael Bay direct the live action?

  • 他們沒有撿到一百塊嗎

  • 0:51 Good to see that the armed, trained killer escapes to safety, while the real criminals like Saeed w/ camera are getting gunned down mercilessly.

  • everything was badass in the 80s from ronald reagan to the toys and cartoons.wtf is today pussy ass cell phones ipods ipads wtf for chris sake dump all this technology bullshit

  • @snakeyes1985

    I feel ya brother

  • Scarlett is the hottest soldier i have ever seen (besides the baroness) who can fight! cobra commander is the wimpiest leader ever! and well...were cold slither you'll be joinin' us soon a band of bikers playing our tune! All Hail Cobra! which never wins. why is that? because of cobra commander who frequently shouts, Cobra retreat! he lacks the confidence to win the day!

  • Its a damn shame what they did to the movie. But knowing is half the battle!

  • YO JOE !

  • i remember watching this in the 90s and i was barely just a kid and i saw some episode then i saw the dic version and i thought the dic version was a load of bull this was the good stuff thank god hub brought it back

  • We had this show in the UK, except it was called Action Force, International Heroes because ... well, you know we weren't American XD. They also changed Sgt. Slaughter's name to "Sgt. Slammer" but not the background text so I just thought none of them could read properly.

  • @lukesafag1 Liberals had nothing to do with GI Joe going off the air.

  • yeah..nobody died in explosions...they always parachuted out LOL

  • @lukesafag1 That sucks!

  • O.S.I!

  • Cobra's parachute training must of been world class!

  • Do anybody the same voices on G.I. Joe are the same voices on transformer?

  • Reagan was a bad ass president. He won the Cold war and knocked down the Berlin Wall. If he was still prez, he would send Delta Force (GI JOE) and kill Bin Laden. Obama is going to be known as the guy who had TSA agents pat down little kids and old people at airports.

  • @Sapexec I don't know why, but for some reason I feel Bruce Springsteen was being played in the background while you wrote this.

  • @Sapexec

    B=

Beg to differ with you on Reagan being such a bad ass president. Who do you think trained Bin Laden? It as the School of the Americas at Fort Benning, GA under Ronald Reagan. Same with Saddam Hussein and Manuel Noriega. As to the Cold war the Soviet Bloc collapesed against the weight of it's own bureaucracy. Before you call me un american know that I am a veteran of the First Gulf War, and TSA was the legacy of George W. Bush NOT Obama.

  • @Sapexec tss only americans can think that they put down berlin wall...

it was by far more work of the pope John Paul the second then of some president...

  • @ookamikazeken JP2 was a sick and fanatic fundamentalist just like his pet Benny 16: he opened up to movements like Opus Dei or Comunione e Liberazione, expelled enlightened scholars like Kung and drove its whole business toward middle-aged thinking once again in more then a way.

Always prone to condemn communism, being born a polish, he also sided with fascist dictators like Pinochet, so I'd not praise him even if he was remotely involved. Which he wasn't.

  • @Sapexec That my friend started with the 2nd Bush not Obama!

  • @Sapexec Sure, Reagan was in reality Supes in disguise and he surely did all this things, not a single one simply happened while he was in charge.

Reaganomics were a very nice thing and Obama trying to give medical care to everyone is one sick fuck, sure...

  • @Sapexec well obama instead sent navy seal team 6 to kill osama

  • @Sapexec lol won the cold war. /fail moron, learn your history, the USSR was on its last legs even before the 80's.

  • @lordteapot Doesn't that mean we still won?

  • @Sapexec

Erm, shouldn't just "people" in general be used? As far as I know, everyone of all stripes are being pat down.

  • @Sapexec You do realize Obama has killed Bin Laden right?

  • @mee091000 You do realize that comment was made a year ago, before Obama sent the SEALS who killed Bin Laden, right? Obama got Bin Laden, but his legacy will be a diminished America that apologized for being better than everyone else and sought to make amends through self-flagellation. Congrats, we're now on the right track to be just as mediocre as everyone else. G.I. JOE believed in American Exceptionalism and our inherent desire to make the world a more free place. This show can't be made now

  • the true american hero is the young man that got killed on Omaha Beach in 1944 to free Europe from the Nazis

  • All those years ago - they made the bad guys this nihilistic international terrorist organisation led by some enigmatic figurehead that just went around blowing stuff up. At the time I thought - "how lame, that'll never happen."

  • True American hero...LOL

  • I'll tell you whose a real american hero: The Postman!

  • @liveleakman Kevin Costner?

  • all time classic . keep`em comin`

  • over land and air...but fuck the sea.

  • @chrisz71 well there military not navy seals ^_-

  • G.I.JOE THE RISE OF COBRA kicks ass. I haven't seen this cartoon in years. Maybe I should go and buy the first season of G.I.JOE on dvd.

  • GI JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • notice in these shows they never kill them only injure.

  • When i was little i could never understand why after all that shooting nobody ever died

  • @Joeasia1981 Becasue it was the 80's, that's why! The the same stupid stuff happened on the television show THE A-TEAM. Thousands of rounds got fired and no one got shot!

  • Wow propaganda sure is fun

  • would you really have a guy nicknamed ship wreak running your navy I mean you just jinxed your self

  • cibai joe

  • please invent time machines. would love to be a kid in the 80's again.

  • The world would be a better place of GI Joe existed.

  • I always thought G.I Joe was one person!

  • @DisneyBlackJet GI JOE used to be a soldier doll from HASBRO, but after Vietnam it became an action-adventure doll before being cancelled. After the success KENNER had with Star Wars action figures, HASBRO brought back GI JOE as a special-ops team. Marvel Comics writer Larry Hama had an idea for a SHEILD vs. HYDRA comic called FURY FORCE, a spin-off of the Nick Fury series. It eventually became the GI JOE comic which Hama wrote and created, but the cartoons were not faithful to Hama's story.

  • As a child i fiend rooting for to like G.I, Joe but in my heart of hearts i wanted Cobra to win.

  • love tha cartoon mizz it so much but tha movie waz GAY & stupid

  • G.I. JOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • damn those terrorists!

  • Im fucking glad i grew up in the 80/ 90's cause the cartoons now are shite!!

  • we all did, at 5 and 6 years old, I just liked the wepons fireing lasers and the theme song.

  • Cobra = Nazis, G I Joe = USA

  • wow what a beast ass turk ass nigga mang dayum

  • That sounds like Jesse The Body Ventura singing the intro theme.

Where the hell did Cobra get all the money to finance their projects!? If they had investors, they're nuts......Cobra's track record on investment returns in crap.......GI JOE destroys every base at the end of every episode! I think Cobra Commander and Destro should have called it a day and opened opened a security consulting firm or something.........

  • Yo Joe!

  • This is damn cool!!!

  • I used to watch this every day at 7 am before going to school. Loved this! Too bad we dont have cartoons like this anymore.. Get these back on air for our kids.

  • back when cartoon had balls to say words like "terrorists", "kill", "bomb", "guns" and other stuff like that

  • Did anyone else get kinda pissed when they focused on Flynt and Lady Jaye (who I still think may be a lesbian) rather than Duke and Scarlettt? I mean, COME ON PEOPLE!! Duke and Scarlett!!!! Awesome!!

  • @mreeping No, Snake Eyes & Scarlett are awesome! They've been together in the comics for 30 years and have an epic love story! Scarlett is not with Duke at all in the comics, so the cartoon had no story to draw upon. The cartoons got it wrong because they thought Snake Eyes/Scarlett would be too complicated for a cartoon since he can't talk. Scarlett and Snake Eyes both got phased out of the cartoon halfway through and they shifted focus to Flint & Lady Jaye, while Duke continued alone.

  • @44excalibur

I know Snake eyes and Scarlett were a thing in the comics (have just about every issue). I was referring to the cartoon, not the comics which were BAD ASS!!

  • @mreeping Oh, okay. Welll, I kinda wish they were a couple in the cartoons as well. And from what I hear, they may very well be in the new cartoon that is coming out soon.

  • Scarlette gave me my very first boner in the 80's. honestly, she's still a fuckin babe.

  • @EastCoastDude99 id fuck the freedom out of her

  • @EastCoastDude99

    Congratulations.

You've mangaged to combine being both greatly disgusting and greatly pathetic, at the same time.

If you're sexually-attracted to CARTOON charecters, you really need help.

  • @SinnFein4ever..........Congratulations. You've managed to take a funny comment and turn it into a rant of the week column because it offended you. Gee I bet you're the life of the party every where you go. By the way, what's a charecter?

  • @EastCoastDude99 - God bless redheads!

  • @EastCoastDude99 I got mine from April O'Neill :D!

Ah.. little boys and 80's cartoons. Awesome.

  • @EastCoastDude99 R.O.T.F.L.M.A.O.

  • @EastCoastDude99 Crazy! But true. [blush]

  • Like a precursor to USSOCOM vs. al Qaeda with the requisite characters. Very prophetic indeed.

  • 0:33-0:35

Y'know what, why? Why throw a thing of dynamite in the air and shoot only when it goes 12 feet away from you? WHY? I want someone to explain that scene to me.

  • Because Stalker is a manly-man and is part of highly trained special forces unit, that's why : )

  • @ninjawraith17 I guess I wasn't the only little kid who thought shooting at dynamite was a sort of dumb.

  • I always liked "It's GI Joe against Cobnra and Destro" better than "Cobra, the enemy" better.

Made Destro more of an equal to Cobra Commander.

  • una excelente serie de animacion ochentera, lastima que mis conocimientos de ingles sean tan basicos, puesto que busco en español el tema de apertura,y no hay manera, gracias por estos videos spoing, seas quien seas.

  • I wish that there really to kick ass in all those communist bastards.

    :)

  • yeah pretty gay

  • Always wondered what the point of the ridiculously large gun on the front of Joe HQ was for since they never used it, iirc.

  • LoL it was used as a deterrent and I have to say it may have worked without it ever being used lol.

  • There is no point to it. In the comics, GI Joe was a top-secret special-ops unit whose headquarters was an underground base called "The Pit" which was hidden underneath an auto-repair shop. The Joes would ride an underground elevator which took them to the repair shop garage where their vehicles would secretly deploy. Having an enormous combat base right out in the open is not a very good idea, and was only used in the cartoons, obviously.

  • Awesome! I love the original tv show! thanks for putting it on.

  • Fantastic cartoon thanks for upload. 5 stars. Greetings from Italy.

  • gi joe would arrest bush, cheyney, obama clinton and place dc under marshall law and lockdown the federal reserve building as well.would make an awesome sequel to the movie.

  • Obama is a Crimson Guard.

    Tis true.

  • Thanks for uploading! This really takes me back. :)

  • this is totally brain wash

  • @MosDef3000

yes totally. is trying to bring kids on military and war stuff. a real american hero...

  • Back when America was America!

  • ahhh. When terrorist was funny.....

  • It makes me feel nostalgic...This opening is very cool, man !

  • The weird thing about this opening is that, while I remember it from when the show was on originally, it's not the opening they used on the DVD's. The first season on DVD has the opening from the second season on it.

  • the only g.i.joe i ever considered watchable was resolute

  • lol.. thats my favorite 1....

  • menuda americanada solo falta que salga el capitan america y george bush

  • WHO WANTS A BACK MASSAGE?

  • They do show this in Canada on Teletoon Retro. They also show the original Transformers cartoon as well.

  • This true GI JOE that POS movie they made was garbage

  • He will fight for freedom whenever their trouble gi joe there

  • does this military force have no set uniform, or do it's members simply show up in whatever they find clean on the floor that morning?

  • lmao! oh my god that was funny! my stomach hurts from laughing.

  • good question! i think Gi Joe is not a regular army. Members can wear whatever they want according to their own skills.

  • OMG loved Scarlett

  • did cobra ever die or give up

  • MyFatUncle - I take it eventually Cobra is disbanded, though you don't get that impression from this show (you get it from one episode of Transformers which guest stars a mysterious figure who turns out to be a seemingly out of work in hiding Cobra Commander).

  • um sure

  • Fine. They're never disbanded then and go on forever... except in GI Joe Extreme where they replaced Cobra with another terrorist organization. There.

  • ok i dont really get wut ur gettin at but ok then

  • Not too bright are we ;P

  • LOL I Remember the episode i think maybe myfatuncle is just to young to remember or care

  • Can't blame him though. Short of buying this and Transformers G1 on DVD where CAN you see this show? Nowhere. It hasn't been on TV as far as I know for what seems like forever and ever.

We need a new breakthrough cable channel that'll show all the cartoons nobody else will show.

  • 80s

  • since every chanting g.i joe, well then

    COOBRAAAAAAA!!!!!

  • one of the best ! cartoon ever! i spend a lot of time when i was a kid to play with G.I. Joe minatures

  • The GI Joe movie sucked.

  • true

  • so i do to

  • shit

  • In retrospect I think Cobra Commander was Muslim.

  • ROFL dude.. why would u think he was a muslim? coz of his cloth? naah i think he was an aethiest.. lol

  • I think of him as more of an auto-theist xD

  • oh u mean u thot that he considered himself a god? naah i think he was an underling of some other guy i saw in the show a coupl o times... u know, the guy who wore a huge snake armour.. hmm dunno his name

  • Ah, good memories

  • i had all the g.i joe's when i was little yes the real one's

  • I always looked for when people actually died in this cartoon. I believe some episodes show lasers shooting Cobra officers on some wall in a fortress and the explosions blow them away and it didnt show them get back up. Anytime a solder fell from guns and it didnt show him run away I would imagine he actually died and assume it. I would be like "DUDE GUYS DIED!!! AWESOME!!!"

  • In this original series one cobra soldier inevitably fell to his death in a canyon after chasing duke on a handglider.

  • Funny, seeing as how I grew up watching this cartoon, playing with the toys and never ONCE wanted to join the army

  • Does anyone know who sang the theme song?

I can't seem to find the answer anywhere... not even on Wiki or Google, etc.

Strange as it may seem... it sure SOUNDS like freakin' Mike Rowe, hahahahahahah!!!!! Not kidding... although I'm certain it couldn't have been him... maybe??!

  • I dont know but he is a great singer with perfect delivery! His voice is awesome! Very musical talent!

  • I love GI Joe... reason why I wanted to join the Army. Lady Jaye was my hero. Sadly the Army is not as action pack as the cartoon... =\ silly me.

  • and people actually DIE!! O_O

  • No way, I thought we lived forever.

I was talking about sitting in a desk, pushing paperwork.

  • Oh well then, yeah. That's not as action packed as the cartoon XD

  • This cartoon was fun while it lasted, but it's ridiculous when NO ONE dies in any of the battles. And I'm supposed to believe this cartoon is better than The Rise of Cobra movie? I don't want to give away anything that happens in the movie but I'll point out that people die because... that's what happens you fight a group that's clearly dangerous to the world!

  • Been to that Movie,,,not bad...Nanobots that eat evrything...yummie!

  • It's amazing how bad the movie missed the mark. This is the real GI Joe

  • no one dies in gi joe cartoons. When a plane or any vehicle explode, instantly the pilot will eject. Thats 80's cartoon, violence without killing. And i love it!

  • Comment removed

  • Hollywood tries to be touchy-feelly-friendly with the global scene is what I know. I also know that Hollywood wouldn't know true America even if it bitch-slapped them across their faces and hurt their feelings. ...And knowing is half the battle! G.I. JOE!

  • Even though G.I. JOE would the mostly costly government entity ever since no one hits anyone with a single shot, they could still beat the shit out of the pansy "international" JOE force in The Rise of Cobra. ...shitty movie.

  • GI jooooooooooooooeee

  • GI JOOOOOOOOOOOOOE

  • the cartoons are better than the rise of cobra... too chheesssy for me

  • I saw that New G I Goe The Rise of Cobra man that was cool I hope they have a second one because I've enjoyed it and I'll see it again

  • ...the most retarded words ever written.

  • Can't wait to go see The Rise of Cobra this weekend. I grew up watching GI Joe & the Transformers so I've anticipated these movies for a long time.

    YOOOO JOE!!!!

  • my man from this cartoon is snakeeyes

damn it y did i have to be born in the 90s i wanna go to the 80s .80s cartoons beat the living shit outta the ones today

  • hey 90s had awesome cartoons too :D

need examples? batman TAS, spiderman TAS, xmen TAS, beast wars

  • at 80´s this looked awesome!

  • American propaganda at its finest :D

  • GO JOE!!!!!!!

  • it supposed to be the real american hero

  • I'll always love the cartoon. Check out GI Joe Declassified. Talks all about it. Funny stuff. Worth a watch.
