"We are strong in the lord and the power of his might", don't know what the last part is though right before she spews blood on him, I assume it's in Latin.
@Dectheboner In 1:52 you can hear demonic voices, that's Diamanda Galas, I recommend you to hear her song "The Lord Is My Shepherd" :) She did all the demonic voices in this movie. I also recommend to see "Skotose me", she sings with John Paul Jones, and do some of this sounds while singing. Terrifying and beautiful at the same time.
the child crying is better than any actor here because it's real tears and she is truly scared, I read in an interview. She thinks its real because she's so little and doesn't know any better.
@luxer999 Hey I heard that too, something like she was so scared of Sadie Frost's costume that Frost had to sweet talk her to let her know she wasn't really a vampire.
Mina Harker: How did Lucy die? Was she in great pain?
Professor Abraham Van Helsing: Yeah, she was in great pain! Then we cut off her head, and drove a stake through her heart, and burned it, and then she found peace.
I read that that little girl that Lucy carried in this scene was genuinely terrified of Sadie Frost in her vampire makeup, so she obviously didn't want to do more than one take with her. Sadie and Francis Ford Coppola had to do a lot of sweet-talking to her in order to get her into Sadie's arms for another take. Can't say I blame her. I'm a man in his 20s, and I still find Lucy's look a trifle unsettling here.
Unsettling? I boned up a bit when she was flirting with him. Its Sadie Frost we are talking about here. I would have hooked up with her all the way until she puked the blood. Thats...thats just gross.
Then again, with those fangs it would be like those people that put their head in an alligator or lions mouth. Eventually your head will get bitten out of reflex.
I guess my cutoff would be after bitten, pale and sickly, wants blood, but no sizable fangs.
the creepiest part was when the camera panned into the box of soil from Drac's home-castle, and he snarled in his vampiric face. *chills* talk about freaking scary.
This scene scared the crap out of me back in 1992. I was 17........watched it on saturday with my best friend. She didnt know this movie and really liked it.
Makes me want to have some yummy roast. That scene was too much. It's a great movie isn't it? It captures the spirit of the book more than the hokey stuff we see nowdays. It owns twilight.
@FelixFelisis Everything to do with the devil is backwards. Demons speak backwards. If ya play records backwards you supposedly get subliminal messages its all backwards hahhahaha

Seeing Antony Hopkins in this makes me wonder what it would be like if Dracula met Hannibal Lecter. I bet they'd have a lot to talk about.

I know, Gaga was just six years old in 1992. ;) My comment wasn't meant serious. It was just the first thing I thought whenn I saw her outfit. ;)
