One problem with game sequals is that, due to the loss of the 'wow' factor in their gameplay, tend to be underwelming. L4D2 had elements of this, Modern Warfare Two was dragged down by this (still a good game), even Halo 2 had this problem.

I do not think Portal will have this problem. We got tons of clever new elements, clever new puzzles better exploring the old game's physics. And now, Coop.

But out of the three, COOP REMAINS THE BEST IDEA EVER!!!!

TF2's the sequal to a game mod. Not a full game. So in that respect TF2 is an original game and is a sequal in name only.
