@twobabyboyz An update a month after ownership: made Vanilla, Coconut, Pistachio, Strawberry & Rum Raisins delightful ice creams. Sorbets a bit of struggle trying to maintain creamy texture after days in freezer, immediate consumption no problem. Best of all, can make flavors that would be hard to find in the supermarket: tomorrow is time to try Papaya ice cream and down the week Tamarind Sorbet. Really a great machine for ice cream lovers, you can't go wrong with it!

First of all, thanks for this very useful review. Helped me make up my mind on which Cuisinart model to buy. Judging by the comments of your kids, it looks like the result is a winner! Additionally, you're such a super mom! Beautiful kids and good idea on feeding them treats that you make your own. We really dunno what they put in store bought stuff nowadays. Have fun with your ice cream maker!!!

i want to ask whats the difference between putting your mixture in a freezer in a bowl vs this machine?

@Island728 Putting it straight into the freezer without an ice cream maker will just give you a big block of ice. This gives you nice creamy ice cream
