What I basically mean and what is commonly agreed to is the following :
YES the jews were persecuted and put in concentration camps. But they were put as enemy combattants not for extermination. Then they starved and died in mass numbers (about 200-300 K) due to typhus. Why ? Because during the war, which we call "total" war, Germans did not have enough resources to feed all prisoners and would of course rather use the resources to feed the thousands of German soldiers in need.
The allies found camps with piles of bodies and skinny prisonners and interpreted it as genocide. They found Zyklon B (which was really used to delouse prisoners) and thought it was used in mass killing.
There are really 2 possibilities.
1. The allies really knew nothing and truly did an honest mistake by mis-interpreting.
2. (my opinion) : the allies knew and forged all this to profit from a defeated nation they hated everything about : Germany

Curiously enough there were protests by Church & other figures against the Euthanisia killings in 1939 and I think they were relatively successful in bringng those to an end-but that was before WW2

It also did not take into account that the British and French would use additional forces from their empires

What I basically mean and what is commonly agreed to is the following :
YES the jews were persecuted and put in concentration camps. But they were put as enemy combattants not for extermination. Then they starved and died in mass numbers (about 200-300 K) due to typhus. Why ? Because during the war, which we call "total" war, Germans did not have enough resources to feed all prisoners and would of course rather use the resources to feed the thousands of German soldiers in need.

The allies found camps with piles of bodies and skinny prisonners and interpreted it as genocide. They found Zyklon B (which was really used to delouse prisoners) and thought it was used in mass killing.
There are really 2 possibilities.
1. The allies really knew nothing and truly did an honest mistake by mis-interpreting.
2. (my opinion) : the allies knew and forged all this to profit from a defeated nation they hated everything about : Germany

Germany was NOT an enemy to Norway and Finland. The brits were going to attack Norway and Sweden in 1940 to stop the iron ore export to Germany and to gain strategic land. Germany had to stop them. Germany was an ally to Finland against the Soviets.

Jews like Felix Bloch went to work for americans in the nuclear project because of the dumb anti-semitism in Germany.
Hans Bethe was another briliant and smart jews who the germans drove out and who went to work for the americans.

What about Krystalnacht with all those synagogues being burned and Jews beat up and killed...was there any protest of the German population?
What about the Nuremburg laws? Why didn't the German people protest those laws?
Maybe the German people were too frightened of the Nazi political machine to do anything...but if they could revolt against the Kaiser in 1918...why not in 1935?

Curiously enough there were protests by Church & other figures against the Euthanisia killings in 1939 and I think they were relatively successful in bringng those to an end-but that was before WW2

Although I'm not entirely sure how successful they were as I think Hadamar & other euthanasia centres continued to operate till end of the war.I need to do some research on it.

the reason why nazis gained power is the treaty of versailles and the fact that ww1 wasnt fought to the end. btw the elections of march 33 werent free because nazis had already gained power, commies were in concentration camps, people who didnt vote for the nazis were beaten up etc nazis got 33% in november '32

The treaty of Versailles was harsh, but fair at the same time because WW1 was long, bloody and expensive..as many people anticipated it would be(in July 1914 the Kaiser referred to a European war as a "catastrophe")...
March 5th, 1933...yes the Nazis had arrested KPD and SPD leaders, they had posted SS and SA men at ballot booths...but were these SS and SA men in the booth itself?

the great powers went to war expecting another short war like the crimean war or the franco-prussian war.
hence the invasion of belgium as per the schlieffen plan, designed to curtail war by taking what was thought to be the "path of least resistance" to paris.

That doesn't sound like everyone thought it would be a short war...and all those protests throughout Germany by Social Democrats doesn't sound like they expected a nice short war.
the invasion of Belgium was beyond foolish from a diplomatic viewpoint. It lost Germany any goodwill it had in the world and brought in the British Empire as an opponent.

The Schlieffen Plan was always flawed because Germany did not have the resources to fight Britain, Belgium, France and Russia at the same time.
It also did not take into account that the British and French would use additional forces from their empires
Germany was boxed in in Europe. To go west meant war with Britain and France. To go east meant war with Russia and France. to go South meant war with its ally austria
If they had had good Govt. they would have recognized that reality

the schlieffen plan was designed to make it so that the war in the west would be quick, so that more resources could then be devoted to defeating russia.
it may have been flawed and a bit out of date, but it wasn't terrible.
the notion that germany was hell-bent on gaining a pan-european empire is preposterous.

Inviting a war with Britain which is what the Schlieffen plan was...is stupid.
Germany knew full well that that would bring Britain , Australia, new Zealand, and Canada into the war.
It's just like Tirpitz saying that American troops would never reach Europe because they would be sunk. Not one US troop transport was sunk.
The Germans were so over-confidant of victory that they even instructed their Navy in Aug. 1914 to NOT attempt to prevent the British army crossing the channel

Hitler was a homicidal maniac..but the Second Reich under Kaiser Wilhelm II was aggressive and incredibly amatuerish in their diplomatic dealings.
That's why most family fortunes don't last beyond the 2nd or 3rd generation because someone eventually blows it...Kaiser Wilhelm II blew the Hohenzollern family fortune....and he took Germany down with him.

And shortly there had been found a mass grave of Germans in Marienborn in Poland with naked children, women and men.
They are burried now, 2009, they put 6 skeletons together in one cascet.

The difference between the Soviet Katyn massacre of 22000 polish officers is that the Germans killed 2 million men, women AND children...the Germans did not restrict themselves only to military men...and they went way beyond a mere 22000.

Wilhelm Hottl said that Eichmann broke it down as 4 million in the camps and 2 million in the open pit shootings...yes...I was just comparing the German "shootings" to the Russian shootings of Polish officers and intelligentsia because "laws of the Universe" seemed to be trying to make an analogy between the Katyn shootings and the German shootings...which really are not comparable...though they both are terrible atrocities.

the USSR did oppress non-russian ethnic groups in the russian ssr especially, and attempted to dilute nationalist sentiment in the other ssrs by pumping them full of russians.
the USSR was a terror state just like nazi germany. communism is just as nasty and violent as nazism and has killed more people. it's time you realized that and started opposing totalitarianism in general, not just one manifestation.

i am repeating myself again, i guess, you are the very young person living far from europe or reality. and if you really interested in history you probably already know the russian commies were the same horrible as the german nazis. the fact is there's no such laws as the "Nuremberg laws". there was Nuremberg trial, but they are not (and they were not) a laws.
check your books, or check your intelligence provider (russian sources are not really reliable)

People like Eddy Rommel try to hide the fact that the majority of German people did not take part in these actions.
