@fdlaxl well their first two albums were heavy. Vol 3 and all hope is gone are both heavy but they have some soft songs on them. Reason being is they wanted to expand and it was what they were feeling at the time. Its called being true to their music. Just like fear factory. On digimortal, transgression and archetype there are a couple slow less aggressive songs on there. It doesent mean theyre not metal anymore. It just means they wanted to do somehting different. Fear factorys still a metal

I think it was late last yer buddy. There has been a massive shit storm going on between a couple of the members. So Bell and Dino have gotten back together along with Byron and a new drummer.
Since they came back together they started on the new album....which is on youtube already.
dino formed it in like 90 or soemthign but he didnt play with them after like 2002 i think cos he has so many side projects but all the originals reformed last year was so fuekn good to see them at BDO this year

Well they were influenced by grindcore on their earlier stuff like concrete SOANM, the two 91 demos, and even in transgression the song spinal compression has some death metal grind moments, and if I remember correctly in the remastered demanufacture with resistencia! that did have some punkness, but they are obviously not grindcore, they have always taken lots of stuff into their style, and that's fine, that's why they are, or were innovators and have a style of their own.
Awesome. I've always thought of Fear Factory as a Grind Core band with Industrial touches. This is the way I like em. Enjoyed all their shit but Demanufacture was spot on. Good to see Burton firin on all cylinders.
You don't know what grindcore is. Grindcore is defined by blastbeats and fast hardcore/punk influenced riffs. FF sound nothing like that. They use a few blastbeats only on "Concrete" and "Soul of a New Machine" and once on "Archetype" on the song "Cyberwaste". Most of their stuff goes from midtempo to fairly fast but not grindcore fast. And the riffs are thrash/death metal ones. Industrial thrash death metal is what they play, certainly NOT grindcore. Grindcore is Nasum, early ND...

Correct. Grindcore takes the drumming and usually the vocals of extreme metal and fuses it with stylings of oldschool hardcore punk. It's like crossover thrash, but with death metal influences rather than thrash. While Fear Factory has a lot of thrash metal influence in the guitar riffs, like you said, their overall sound is more industrial/groove. People trying to talk metal and not knowing what they're talking about is like listening to a woman trying to talk sports and not having a clue.
I would agree to some extent. Gene Hoglan uses a lot more of his hands and hits the snare more than Raymond Herrera, so that adds to the straightforward vibe. Dino's riffs on the new album also feature a lot more 16th

I think it was late last yer buddy. There has been a massive shit storm going on between a couple of the members. So Bell and Dino have gotten back together along with Byron and a new drummer.
Since they came back together they started on the new album....which is on youtube already.

Best performance.
Well they were influenced by grindcore on their earlier stuff like concrete SOANM, the two 91 demos, and even in transgression the song spinal compression has some death metal grind moments, and if I remember correctly in the remastered demanufacture with resistencia! that did have some punkness, but they are obviously not grindcore, they have always taken lots of stuff into their style, and that's fine, that's why they are, or were innovators and have a style of their own.

Awesome. I've always thought of Fear Factory as a Grind Core band with Industrial touches. This is the way I like em. Enjoyed all their shit but Demanufacture was spot on. Good to see Burton firin on all cylinders.

You don't know what grindcore is. Grindcore is defined by blastbeats and fast hardcore/punk influenced riffs. FF sound nothing like that. They use a few blastbeats only on "Concrete" and "Soul of a New Machine" and once on "Archetype" on the song "Cyberwaste". Most of their stuff goes from midtempo to fairly fast but not grindcore fast. And the riffs are thrash/death metal ones. Industrial thrash death metal is what they play, certainly NOT grindcore. Grindcore is Nasum, early ND...

Correct. Grindcore takes the drumming and usually the vocals of extreme metal and fuses it with stylings of oldschool hardcore punk. It's like crossover thrash, but with death metal influences rather than thrash. While Fear Factory has a lot of thrash metal influence in the guitar riffs, like you said, their overall sound is more industrial/groove. People trying to talk metal and not knowing what they're talking about is like listening to a woman trying to talk sports and not having a clue.

I would agree to some extent. Gene Hoglan uses a lot more of his hands and hits the snare more than Raymond Herrera, so that adds to the straightforward vibe. Dino's riffs on the new album also feature a lot more 16th
