This church was non-denominational and open to people of all diverse backgrounds-yes, atheists, muslims, christians, etc. To say that all relgions are ignorant in reference to Unitarian Universalism doesn't make any sense to me at all. The actual translation is "Thou shalt not Murder". And all biblical scholars agree that the only think that could be considered "Murder" was killing another Jewish person.
These were commandments set up to justify the wars of the time. Most of them are so massacres of whole villages and cities (like Jericho) could be justified. Telling troops to kill ever man, woman, child and animal was then the "Just" thing to do.
It is sad how little people know about the bible they tout.

What if your family was in that church would you run to safety or would you attack the gunner? I'd attack the gunner in that situation, and I'm sure you would to. If I die, I die trying to protect my wife and kids. If I die trying to protect your wife and kids, I suppose that is even more honorable. So your objection is to character, honor, and courage then.
