  • Hi... your video is fantastic.

could post some basic wing chun tutorials.

i want to learn but there are no instructors

in my area. it would be a great help.

  • great wing chun man no bs

  • I have just started training in wing chun after a couple of years doing shukokai karate (which I still train in). I think your techniques are excellent both fast, fluid and controlled. I hope after many years of training I will be as good as you. Thanks for uploading this video as it gives us all something to aspire to.

  • Really good stuff, amigo. Thanks for the tips. Serious lineage, that is easy to see. Will look for more of your stuff.

  • excellent video! i had my first lessons in wing chun today and it was one of the best things i've ever made myself do. and i simply love how you can hear the air when you do the movements, its just like in the films

  • Love it... thank you!

  • Good! but how do you get the sound effects? is that for real?

  • thankyou! my lineage is through kwok s and cheung, so you can trace them through both ip chun and ip ching either way its ip man signature.

  • thats is some very good wing chun brother , the traditional ip man way no BS powerful jet flexible and no shitty movements and all with good juen ma and correct energy. Just like our sifu sifu ming se from hong kong who is private student of ip ching . And your wing chun seems to reflect the high standards of Ip ching ving tsun athlethic association . Of what liniage are you if i may ask ? very good keep on training

  • That's great brother! I'm self taught...only because there's no known wing chun in Indianapolis. It's so hard to acheive my goals without a sifu, nevertheless I trying and very slowly getting there! Thanks for the vids...

  • Very good tips on wing chun!

  • thanks

  • ahh, finally i found your video! your video are the first wing chun video i watch in youtube, and still baddass until now. what lineage are you from? who's ur sifu? thanks a lot!

  • I must say your kop jao's look really good. I need to spend more time on Biu Gee!

Im so glad someone is finally combating the flow of rubbish that the internet has spawned and called it wing chun. Keep up the exellent work with these vids, im sure to be watching :)

  • true

  • pity it wasn't a slightly longer view to show footwork/leg positioning.

Nice to see someone describing that 'AK47' punching as bull... a and honest refreshing change

  • THE ELBOWS, yeah i use to do that move back in my mosh pit days, it works, it really does.

  • at last, someone talking some sense. nice vid

  • thank you , very helpfull. just started learning wing chun a year ago

  • BAD ASS VID.!!

  • DAMN like those lighting fast punches!

  • hey goldmouth ^^ you are super

  • gd point about locking the wrist out when punching. must admit i do stop doing that after about a min on the bag with out really thinking about it.

    nice one!!!

  • my only point is breath if you forget to breath you lose power and stamina

  • Very tight technique . . . your shoulders stay level with the top shelf behind you. I'm citing this for an essay on the history of the wooden dummy.

  • nice and sharp. Good use of full extension... yes everyone needs bag work and contact at your fixed stopping distance but it retards speed so you need plenty of air punches to full extension.

    Nice one

  • tatatatatatarubbish;-) great movements!

  • i studied wing chun..tsun tsing? ding dong ming..yeah whatever..the leung ting branch.. anyway let me tell ya..if you want to talk about punches look at boxing because the strongest punches are in there...period..end of story..if you want to talk about bone crushing power put your hip into it..power starts from your feet and goes up...wing chun has some let me repeat that SOME good stuff to give but let's not get to crazy...know what i mean?

  • punching has power yea, but karate chops have more pressure in a smaller point so theyre more effective.

  • Wing chun is more focused on technique than raw power. You are right, boxing punches are more powerful but they are easier to block and dodge and aren't as fast as wing chun punching. 3 quick punches do more damage than 1 strong one. Especially when they are focused on one spot.

  • Agreed.!! I studied WC under WSL branch for years, and it just couldn't keep me the same punching power after i picked up boxing for 12 months.

  • thankyou for your responses, yes dr tzeus of course when you punch you aim to extend fully through the point of impact. In a nutshell its better to practice full extension against an object that offers resistance at this sort of speed (spots pads, bag etc.), too much "air" punching LWK with full extension and you may get a pull. As for my arm i extend fully then relax just enough to preserve some elasticity. lol.

  • @chrysostomou1 thats is some very good wing chun brother , the traditional ip man way no BS powerful jet flexible and no shitty movements and all with good juen ma and correct energy. Just like our sifu sifu ming se from hong kong who is private student of ip ching . And your wing chun seems to reflect the high standards of Ip ching ving tsun athlethic association . Of what liniage are you if i may ask ? very good keep on training

  • I enjoy your videos. Do you not fully extend your arm (at elbow) in chain punches? or in any punches? or is that as far as your arm extends?

  • Whoah, thanks for addressing that "phony fast punching" issue. That is one of my main gripes with Wing Chun. Big ups to you, sir.

  • Impressive yo!

  • Nice work.

  • great video thanks heaps! iv'e been trying to flow smoother for a while and u gave me some great tips! still trying to remember to keep my elbows in for chain punching too!

  • very nice ...i watched this about six months ago and was a bit dazzled by the techniques at the time but after doing wingchun for awhile i find im doing similiar drills, and with a bit more practice hope to acheive that same flow .

  • It's still Wing Chung afterall.....

  • Really nice video..

I've only been doing Wing Chun for 6 months, and can't wait to learn the second form ^^

  • man ur in such great shape its inspiring, takes me bak to the days when i was doign kickboxing, felt fresh and light as a feather, lean and full of energy. im glad someone knows something about wing chun on youtube

  • very good been doing wt for years and agree 100%

  • Really enjoy watching your execution and the explanation really added to the video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

  • enjoyed the video, good explanation on the difference between speed only and proper technique combined with speed. You are correct, if you do the forms properly the speed and power will come out. Great video

  • the noise is from his shoes rubbing against the carpet fyi

  • no added sound effects, if you here something its either joints clicking or air (haha!)

  • its the carpet im turning on making the noise!!

  • thats fast...jus curios the air noise when youo're movin your hands, is that real or youo jus added it ?

  • Ωραίος φίλτατε , να συνεχίσεις έτσι.

  • Hey its new year and i haven't seem you all over xmas Mr Chrysostomou. I miss you taking the mick and i miss takin the mick out of you. Like the clip, get in touch, lets go shopping

    Zoe

  • nice to see someone who actually understands the concept of wing chun like you said anybody can punch quick, focus on the form first and always and speed and power will follow

  • finally somebody who has studied the form of wing chun, this is a great exabition for other people considering taking it up i would like to add one of the main importance's of wing chun centre line only thing missing from the basic punch

  • great vid, thanks for making it, I look forward to more!

  • You have good smooth flows..and powerful too. great stuff!nthanks for sharing.

  • Nice!! Good comment about the puncehes. You have excellent juen ma!! One day I'll have it too :)

  • Great clip, good wing chun. Could you post a clip on kicks? Should they flow like the hands?

  • you're right about a few things.. 1) yeah, any one can do fast punching 2) they are cheating them selves.. lol, but its not machine gun rubbish, most systems have more than x ammount of ways to punch, the way you say is correct is different to that of a normal punch, which is the way you say is incorrect..

  • not bad

  • Fascinating! Please switch the light on next time!

  • very fast dude nice one

  • nice workouts!

i practice kyokushin but i can tell yall: this stuf really works!

    peace

  • Nice to see someone knows Juen ma Fajing drills exellent demonstration on the basic first form.

  • Hi!

Finally, a realistic and very good demonstration of Wing Tsun techniques!

Thank you for your post and sharing!

    Sincerely,

    Marc
