i had plus! for 98 and the only thing different from this was the startup sound.

Faster because I think it's lighter. It's as fast as my XP, which was fast. Not to mention on the netbook, using ReadyBoost to kick it into high gear.

not truth, it always corrupts your disc/hard drive and make it unable to format again. and the system always gone wild and unstable.

and vista......the interface looks stupid. probaly windows95 and xp were the most stable product that made from ms

I had problems with Windows ME, but I also had a bad disk. So, truthfully, I don't know how ME behaved.

As for Vista: flush it.

Until Windows 7 comes out, I'm keeping my XP.

Vista is awfully stable if you ask me, you'd be surprised. That is, I'm running x64 with proper 64bit drivers. If you're not using proper drivers you can better stick to xp

Windows 7 isn't bad, actually.  Running 7 RC as I type, and it's very stable.

Yeah I do hope windows 7 will be done soon. I'm not sure what advantages it has above vista, but the kernel is supposed to be a bit lighter

It is significantly faster. I've not noticed any problems with it on the netbook.

Those aren't standard sounds. It's from a totally different sound scheme. it's actually the Windows 98 PLUS! sound scheme. Other than the startup

My neighbor/best (YouTube- TheRealEClub) friend has a Windows ME. It starts faster than ANY other Windows OS. If I HAD to replace my Vista, I would choose ME to replace it. It also has a SUPER COOL start up/shutdown sounds. They are better than ANY other Windows OS sound!

That critical stop noise in Windows ME was the worst. It was awful sitting at the computer late at night and having that come on. Love that startup noise though.

Hahaha. Yeah that is true. I did love the sounds from Millenium. Other than that, it was easily MS's biggest failure.
