Carrick is truly one of the most underated players in the world, he consistantly comes up with the goods for United & hes what England need, he's like a continental player, comfortable on the ball, great control, picks out the perfect pass. an incredible holding midfielder, every team needs one, look at france there shit cos all there players are skill orientated and since zidane let no one on there team knows how to pass, even the defence, i love evra but even he wants to get forward as much as possible, at united he can do it cos of carrick and scholes but in france he has no opportunity

I think Carrick is:

a) underrated

b) treated shamefully by a succession of England managers.

How on earth can he not be deemed worthy of making a 26 man England squad ffs!!? It's kinda put be off Capello a bit already.

And I'd rather see an England central midfield made up of two from Carrick/Hargreaves/Barry. Carrick is a great passing playermaker, Hargreaves is high energy and a good defensive player and Barry does the simple stuff well.

Totally agree with you. It is an absolute disgrace that the likes of Tom Huddlestone are getting picked ahead of Carrick. In my opinion, he's easily top three most technically gifted players in England.
