  • if you put some hardcore distortion behind that guitar, you have metal.

  • You can go to Berklee and Full Sail College of Music and can't play this.....he's not playing music....he's playing his life

  • Why are there not more songs of this dude on youtube! He's awesome!

  • Aybody know how his guitar is tuned?

    Appreciate it.

  • @matteawan Pretty sure that is standard tuning. Open low E string and second fret fourth string (E).

  • @straydogbluesman

It's standard but tuned down to C , so C standard or near enough.

  • If you had the blues you'd know how I feel.

Too bad it don't seem to be more Belton out there. Dude had the stuff.

  • Wow, I bow down to this man

You can even hear the crickets of the night!

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT KIND OF GUITAR THIS IS? KAY? HARMONY?...

  • @THEBIGKOSTRINSKY good question. i haven't seen any kay or harmonys with triple inlays on the 9th though. it's a mystery. haha

  • @THEBIGKOSTRINSKY im guessin its a gibson L7 but then again i could b wrong. its vintage tho. try an google image gibson L7 an it looks jes like iy

  • @THEBIGKOSTRINSKY , its a kay, the headstock logo can clearly be seen in the clyde maxwell video on this channel,(hes playing this very same guitar) as for the 3 dots on the 9th fret, ive noticed that the kay guitars ive seen had double dots at the 9th and 15th frets, and the dots were very close to the edge of the fret board, just like on this guitar, possibly someone has just added an extra dot in the middle, maybe even just painted it on, anyway is definitely a KAY,

  • It's so sad .....only AFTER THEY ARE ALL GONE....do we want to record them

  • You gotta dig for real stuff like this....all I hear from people my age when I mention blues is "Robert Johnson,Leadbelly,Robert Johnson,Leadbelly"....because they dont know anybody else....thats why we need to keep these guys alive when people say blues we say...."Belton Sutherland, Boyd Williams, Billy Bizor, Robert Pete Williams".....dont let Clapton and Nirvanna show you the bluesmen of years gone by...dig for it and share it...

  • wow this is pure.real great

  • Comment removed

  • damn, i gotta figure out how to play this. sooo damn catchy.

  • "Dimples in her jaw"

yeah peeps, thats a BAND. dozens can join in now,but if he leaves...

    good on the channel.

    RIP Lomax

  • What a great upload, I believe there is another one out there where he sings the same song.

    But this quality is great!

    Thanks a lot

  • The real deal...this dude should have been recorded more...damn shame !!

  • @Hillfunk can you imagine all the other awesome bluesmen that never recorded?

  • this is wonderful thanks for posting

  • I stand corrected Vinnie ..man or woman ,unfortunately there are not many female blues guitar players playing early delta blues

  • Thank for share this!!!

  • What a riff....this is what music is all about, one man one guitar and a whole lotta feeling

  • @barrolds or woman..

  • DajaWaja , you are the REASON This it´s a GREAT exemple of RAW HIPNOTIC COUNTRY BLUES........A.L.Archive , thanks a lot for that GREAT GREAT GREAT upload......

  • The thing I like about these old blues guys is that most of them have their own style of guitar picking. They learned on their own and each of them plays their own unique way. Awesome music.

  • @seymourbbest true that. i usually use my 1rst , 2nd and 3d finger on the three higher strings and my thumb on the low three. i'm learning to play this right now, and it's difficult because he's occupying his first finger and thumb with that drone when he does break lick. i guess this is meaningless to you, mainly just saying for example. your most certainty right! haha

  • i always find this kind o' blues so hypnotic
