please help me!!! This is what I'm dealing with right now! My son is being abused!! He was abusive to me, drug out our court battle for years, won custody of my youngest son, and now CPS has informed me that they and the police are investigating him for child abuse!!

I love listening to these kind of videos and counting how many times the interviewer uses the word "He" when referring to the attacker. That is not true and it just shows how many people assume that it is always the woman being attacked not the woman attacking the man. It doesn't have to be violent. Verbal abuse is still abuse. My problems started when my ex stated when we seperated that I could see my child, who I cared for at 50% of the time, once a month. When I defied her by taking her to court, the allegations began. All her allegations were dismissed by the police, hospitals, CSA and finally a psycologist who assessed the mother was exceptionally deceptive. I have full custody today of my daughter and the mother does not pay child support. The real epidemic is the abuse custodial parents wreak on the NCP and kids

Nways, I won the Child, I have 182.5 days a year with my daughter, I was fighting for 50%. I have not yet recovered from all that shit. Financially just above water, not in debt. But 11 years of savings gone. A lot of MEN are not as lucky as I was to have FULL family support while going through that shit. Because of the Laws a lot Men just give up, they know and they dont even Fight. I fought because I did not know Laws in this Fucking USA. So I learned. welcome to USA.

I was arrested, for first time in my life. lost my job, and any contact with child, and child custody was almost finished while Criminal charges pending.The Police told me, oh man ur not the first one, we know but we have to arrest you. I was accused of child abuse while going through child custody. She said: he came to my house forced his self inside, pushed me and removed a necklace from my daughter violently and left.

I was 45 miles away playing cards with Family, however 4 hours earlier we meet to talk about potentially reaching an agreement in child custody outside the court, as the law encourage parents to do.

The Problem is Family Laws. When entering Child custody/Divorce the whole process is set up to be like a battle, with a winner at the end. Its the system, its the lawyers, its everything around. Child-ren are the last, as the main focus is to compleately destroy one Parent, and 90% of the time is the Father. Child Abuse accusation in child custody is called a "Silver bullet" because the accused stands absolutely NO chance in any kind of rights with the child.

Some truth.... some lies!! One of the big problems of this "abuse excuse" is that too many women holler abuse to gain an advantage and those claims are lies!!

This takes away from those who really are abused!

The way to stop this fraud and get help for those who really are abused is to make it necessary to provide non biased evidence, if abuse is happening ,prove it. Bring back due process and rules of evidence. This protects the innocent and sometimes that is a falsely accused parent.

I think this is old and ridiculous way behind the times. Might we try thinking about abuse to men and how we can assist abused men getting the same support and free legal assistance form the court system? It is a travesty of justice that it is gender based both can be victims. The only issue is men don't speak out about it and our culture frowns down on men who speak up about it.

@ObamaStoleMyCar It's a good point youre making here. The CDC did a massive study recently and found women are more prone to violence in the relationship than men. Please see my video on domestic violence. I think we need to start educating the young ladies that its not OK to get violent as well as men. A lot of people are ignoring the fact that women more often than not will be the first to get violent. They will also falsly accuse men of DV during custody battles.

I work as an advocate for both male and females and have found that it is about 4 to 1-

I always note the media doctoring the figures to suit the patriarchal system of divide and rule.

The patriarchal system wants women to be like men- strong, emotionless, willing to kill etc, under the guise of equality of course.

Paper does not refuse ink, so I do not trust any research figures as I know from college how easy it is to create the stats you want.

The point is that a woman can call 911 alleging that her husband assaulted her. She can use that later to get leverage in divorce proceedings.

Look at the statistics, 9 out of 10 cases in Family court are legitimate cases of violence and abuse & a small 1% are false allegations. International stats also support that violence is a gendered issue. Children need two parents whom both have equal power in the relationship to make decisions about their lives.

my kids are happier when their father is not around. i never talk bad about him cuz i been through as a child and i will not put my kids through that. when his name is mentioned my kids get so angry they start breaking things, hurting themselves, they don't do their school work or listen in school, and they isolate themselves from everyone else. so for kids who go through this they are better WITHOUT that parent who is doing this to them. its not right. and no child should go through this!!

This video is so true. It is very difficult to leave an abuser - they will seek to control you through the legal system. Outright lies, alienating the children and making out like they are the victims. What is very difficult is that it may take years before anyone listens or cares to take a stand on behalf of a survivor of abuse.

I went to court to file for custody of my daughter because her mother wanted to go to a shelter with my daughter because it speeds up the process of getting a low rent apartment while Her grandmother owned a 2 family house which she had access to and was served with notice of a restraining had been filed against me with no proof or no court appearance to fight it, which kept me away from my daughter while she and her mother lived in a shelter, I never had any of the so called charges

aswell i believed that they were ok because it was temp. and i felt safe that thier grandmother was there. but i sure have seen the reprocussions of a child left to be raised by such induviduals. they do not spend much time with them, but it still has quite an effect on theur personages.
