hey im thinking about buying a Bushido Musashi - High Carbon Steel Iaito Katana would u guys say its worth buying or a Musashi - 1060 Carbon Steel - Best Miyamoto Sword help anyone??
Hi Jason, In your review, you said that the Senshi Tengoku katana has a differentially tempered blade. The temper line design on mine repeats itself every 10 and 3/8 inches and there is no visible boshi on the kissaki. This makes me wonder if it really is differentially tempered. Hope to hear from you, or anybody, on this matter.
@GENMAI74 Yeah no shit, who's going to use a real handcrafted 15000$ sword as a cutter?
We all know that already you aren't educating anyone
That's why we own 300$ cutters in the first place and they usually are not made in japan in the first place at that price.... So I don't see where you're coming from on that one
i dnt get why ppl keep bitching over the internet about how "it isnt a real sword" and all that bullshit. im pretty sure it wud be better to buy a cheaper sword you can USE, than some $4,000 one tht u wont take out of your room because you wanna play make believe samuri
your preaching to the un washed masses on here mate - they think an owners manual with the factory certificate means their 200 dollar dream sword is a papered nihonto - its pointless trying to educate these numpties - they think a factory logo on the habaki - and a badly machine stamped 'horimono' is the dogs bollocks ,
If it's double pegged as he says in the video it would be - where else would the pegs go? He also mentions how it is a good cutting blade...meaning it is a real sword and thus, has a full tang/handle.
I looked at real katana's on a japanese based website that sold for 5000 plus and the sharp edge was on the inside of the curve. all the imitation ones have the sharp edge on the outside. wtf?
This ryumon katana looks like a wicked cutter - can you confirm if its got a wide blade as it looks like in this vid , is it wide at the yokote like a good cutting blade should have a wide profile - in short if you stood it next to a PPK would the tengoku be noticeably wider ?
I really want this blade for my next custom mount as its an unusual piece with its deep sori and horimono - so any further details would be appreciated .
I bought a blemished Musashi blade (folded steel but scratched and has a shallow real hamon) for $40.00, and it is a better cutter than most $300-400.00 pro cutting swords!
Yeah, every once in a while, a really good deal comes around. Just know what you're buying. I got lucky and I'm really tickled to get sooo much for sooo little.
this will probably seem lame and you can spam me if you want about this but I was wondering if you could do the reverse blade sword they have on the site? I know what your probably thinking, that its stupid and why the heck would I but I really want to get it but not sure if its worth the money, could you please help me in this case?
You seem pretty knowledgeable but please work on your presentation skills. After a couple of reviews the monotone voice starts to degrade the experience.
im really looking forward to getting my frist ryumon sword from you guys i just keep comming back to this to get an idea of what to exspect when mine gets here!!!
im in the uk is it possible to get this shipped here or is this blade illegal?

it's not real plaese most of you know nothing about Nippon
real swords never see the light of day anyway so it's far better to own a 300 dollar cutter that you can actually use
