I have an RSS aggregator checking something like 87 feeds (almost all youtube and gaming related) every half hour. I have five e-mail accounts being checked every minute and my hotmail account being check periodically by Adium. Yeah, I'm an addict.
Yeah, I got kinda burned out on online gaming after putting something like 2000 hours into Star Wars Galaxies, over 500 hours into Phantasy Star Online, and who knows how many countless hours into other online games.
I was on the internet in the early 90's before it was GUI.(no graphics) then I think sompuserve came along then prodigy and Later AOL...I think. Its been an amazing ride.
Well I have a mac & have an iSight.. honestly since I don't use a PC I probably am not much help on this front. Buy it online though instead of a place like BestBuy though - you'll save loads.
It's sad but I used to be on lynx and pine on the well...but I can't really program I'm geeklite. That said asteroids zork and enchanter....oh and 1 Logan's Run convention with my gay boyfriend-- dressed as Jessica6 to his Sandman...yes, I'm older than dirt.
You Tube is my first venture into blogging and I didn't start until Sept 06. But I've been on the internet since 98 with high speed DSL. I mostly used it for email and downloading. I think I started using AOL just when 3.0 was rolling out, but I used dial-in BBS systems before that. at least you've never MUDed. umm, and I did date my high school internet girlfriend when I began my undergrad. and I'm too shy to vlog. so that makes me a bigger nerd than you. I'm so proud of myself.
