  • Love the song, stopped it when I saw the puking. Poor taste

  • @Mikes66442 Thanks... I'm removing the puking! You're right... it DOESN'T taste good!

  • that's what i'm talking bout

  • Good job, but I must admit I could have done without the vomit.

  • @gdholmfirth I agree... but I didn't write the song. I just layed the stills over it! Do you remember "the worst hangover you ever had" or did you ever see a friend in a similar situation? They were on their knees in front of the porcelain goddess bringing up all their cookies! Like I said... I don't write... I just paper 'um!

  • @cnmatl7 I believe this worst hangover he ever had was just a metaphor for being wasted from having had more sex than he could handle. It wasn't wine that he had too much of, it was a "double shot" of his baby's love. Don't believe that would make one puke.

  • @gdholmfirth You know what? You are CORRECT! Now what can we do about it? I'm open to suggestion. I made the mistake and you found it! The solution is up to you! Please ponder this and come up with a remedy. Thanks...

  • @cnmatl7 Perhaps the video can be edited so as to omit the vomit pictures and replace them with more pictures of hot chicks?

  • @gdholmfirth What a GREAT Idea! I'll get started on it immediately.

Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for pointing out the errors of my interpretation.

  • Man I have been there Praying to the Pocin Gods

  • AH....my college years!!!

  • GREAT, HARV! Nice intro, and great tune! I like the brief moment of hanging silence. Always loved this; just never listened much to the words back then. Catchin'up now, though! Is there a longer version? Any more to offer us? You are GREAT!

  • GREAT VID!

Is this guy with one of the TV Stations or something?

  • great job loved every minute glad i saw it thanks

  • These guys mean what they say. i met them once.

  • .....................nice

  • i want to hear the edited version

  • They're from Greenwood :p

  • HARVEY , YOU'RE A PERV!

  • @Cyberella1000 - Certified & Approved... Don't you love every minute of it?

  • THIS SONG SHOULD OF BEEN PLAYED ON THE MOVIE.....ANIMAL HOUSE....IT FITS THAT MOVIE GOOD.....AFTER THAT TOGA PARTY...U KNOW...

  • cool video however I could've done without the puke scenes LOL

  • @SEVFEST Ididn't write the words.... "Woke up this morning, my head was so bad The worst hangover that I ever had What happened to me last night That girl of mine, she loved me so right (yeah!) (oh, oh) She loved me so long and she loved me so hard I finally passed out in her front yard (whoo!) It wasn't wine that I had too much of It was a double shot of my baby's love" I just interpreted the video in pictures that would best describe same! Cheers, Harvey
  • @SEVFEST Either you've never been "THAT" drunk... OR... you don't want to be reminded of the times that you were...!

  • I was 19, saw this group at Oak orchard lanes, Albion NY Those were great times, party time!

  • Cool little song! Lots of fun, let the good times roll. Love the farfisa.

  • funny.

  • Mid 60's, Birmingham. Two versions of this song were released at the same time by the Swingin Medalions and The Distortions. I thought The Distortions version was much better. At the time, it was thought by many that The Distortions were the better group and would do better nationally. Didn't happen. Not even any mention of them now on Google.

  • @Ardalla555 might have had something to do with the name..what's in a name U ask??ask Shakespere ;-)

  • before you

  • Before you but not all!!!!!!!

  • I'd like to hear the original by the k-otics on Fortune records

  • @merryfieldmorgan1 .... FYI ..... Dick Holler And The Holidays did the original and the Swingin' Medallions released the song before the K-Otics (just slightly but that was the order of release) which means The K-Otics version was NOT the original.

I would Love to hear The K-Otics version if anyone out there has it to post....

  • @SEVFEST i have the k-otics 45. i'll be happy to upload it. :)

  • @merryfieldmorgan1 i know that the swingin' medallions first released 'double shot' on the 4 SALE label. it was then picked up by smash. i have the 4 SALe 45 as well, which btw, 'double shot' was the second song(#002) released on the independent label.

  • do you have the censored version of the song? There was music videos in 1966: scopiotones and promo videos for tv shows

  • wow you really like the oldies from the 60's and 70's

barely any people listen to them but they are the greatest hits in music today they are very intresting, i liked it my dad likes it more he is 59 he was 15 when this song came out.

  • the Oldies Totally Rocked.....

  • The Swingin' Medallions - Double Shot remix at myspace djzylem

  • no videos in the 60s ? Where the fuck were you Harvey ?

...if you think they would have looked like this piece of crap you flogged together, then you should be tarred and feathered and left to rot to the dogs and birds of prey....what a waste of time you are...

  • @wilfrid55 Did you leave this comment as a joke because you know this man personally? I cannot believe that you are serious. This is like the ranting of a 16 year old that has never left his bedroom. If you do not have anything good to say then please say nothing. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Oh BTW, sehr gut Herr Siegel. Danke.

  • @deutschschoen If you think this video is "sehr gut", then you are a "Grosse Dumpkopf" just like Harvey... Do you also think that there were no videos in the 60s, or were you too busy watching Hogan's Heroes and learning how to be effectively insulted?! I am DAMN serious - and don't you forget it ! Oh, and as for being ashamed, I am only ashamed for responding to you, but pleased that I generated such a reaction ! Your a touchy little kraut, aren't you ? Goebbels would have loved you....

  • @wilfrid55 I am not insulted, its not my video. I could care less if there were videos in the 60s. What is Hogan's Heroes? Generated such a reaction? No, I just think you're an asshole, no one made you watch the vid. But Im pleased that I made you feel ashamed. (please, keep responding) You're immature, you call silly names like Goebbels, you don't know history. Joseph, like you, was a hater. Im not. You called me a kraut too, and then you say I am touchy? BTW your Deutsch sucks (use the ß).

  • @deutschschoen Anyway, I am through with this nonsense, we are both too old for it. So comment whatever you wish (I know you will). Goodbye.

  • @deutschschoen I know my deutsch sucks, I am French-Canadien, I have an umlaüt, nothing else, so there...don't get me started ! The point of my comment to your friend Harvey was that he said there were no videos in the 60s. You may not care less - but I do !! And I told him so !!! It is my right ! And I can say it in any way I choose - and so can you for that matter - which you did, that's fine. But you can't tell me to say nothing - that's when you cross the line Hans!

  • @deutschschoen I think wilfrid55 has a nickname and it is "Captain Bringdown". I am amazed at the way people react over nothing especially when they can hide behind their bandwidth.

  • Got any more of this stuff/ great job, dude

  • great photos and GREAT song...but with more than a couple of double entendres....don't think this would've been shown back in 1966! LOL

  • Where is the band from?

  • This is an old 60's band from the South Carolina region you are welcome!

  • This is your quintessential "Frat Rock"!

  • BOTTOMS UP!

  • This song was banned for a while too, Like they could stop us from doing it 2times in a row. Double Shot was a staple at the drive inn, you could love your Baby under the blanket, although I did get a window tap now and then. Those were the good old days. + Oh and then when you left the drive inn? Go to your favorite parking place. Loved it, miss it.

  • Where is Rikki? She is so hot. She could make him come.

  • K-Otics saw the Swingin' Medallions performing the song live in Panama City, Florida circa 1964 and decided they would record the song and their version of the song was climbing the charts until the Medallions released their party-fried version which soared by them in the charts being a number one song in most markets in the South. The K-Otics were based in Tallasee, Alabama and many of their performers had long distinguished careers in the music business.

  • One of the best vids....great song..

    thanks

  • thanks for posting the Medallions version...If you happen to have the K-otics version of DOUBLE SHOT 1966 please post it thanks!!!!! keep the good work

  • There should be a picture of Larry Hagman, his character JR Ewing on Dallas was also a drinker as was Hagman in real life.he has since quit drinking,he received a kidney transplant in 1995,he will always be JR!!

  • MTV?? Didn't that used to be a music channel?

  • Yeah, you mean the one that plays all the rap bullshit these days?

  • There will be more to come...stay tuned!

  • We missed out by not having MTV in the 60's but you've made it possible! GREAT!
