dex=block rate and evasion.

so if you block a lot and evade a lot you dont need much if not any sta. (excluding Heap Up)

listen evey class have its people, some like knights, other blades its as simple as that, i have been trying to make a ranger almost for a month and i am not good enough i guess i am pretty bad at it, beside ranger are good aoe cause they can carry it done without using much food since they have a great evasion and block rate o.O

junk arrow can be very usefull in Early lvls

At Later lvls u wont realy need Junk arrow Max but its fun to use in Pvp :P or to Solo some mobs :3

fastest is plvl second is coral island and this is waht i did...i did coral with amp scrolls some great xp and AR has a recharge wich without other aoe skills makes aoe not worth it at the time

Wel.. for me what i did i just aoe'ed with arrow rain then junk arrow till it's cooled down. Then Arrow rain again. (do mobs of like 3 or 4 max cuz it seriously hurtsseeing u dont have like ice arrow or fire arrow yet)

The typical build is sta: 60-80 and dex till the end of time

Fire on a bow is a better addition to DoT than wasting stat points on int.

I aoed a mix of spiders and cranes at 60. Cranes have lots of people leveling at them so you need to adapt.

If you are only a slightly lower level than the mobs you are fighting, then they drop items more often and you can tank more, so as for all aoe chars, kill cranes until level 68.

Bowjesters are basically acrobats all their life, as they don't use their 2nd job skills (at least not with any effectiveness). Do they suck? I think its a waste of a jester, however they are easy to level because your character does not get hit by mobs much. Its a safe option, choosen by those with little ambition.

I think my sequence is more like piercing, ice, fire, rain, piercing etc... as the cool down on the skills finishes and skill becomes available. I find piercing arrow is nice at the beginning when all the mobs are in a nice straight line running towards you. I also use piercing afterwards, if I have to run a few feet to food and allow the RM to heal Arrow Rain has about a 20 second cooldown, If I remember correctly, which is one reason why rangers should laugh at so called "aoe bow jesters".

A high ++ G bow or an A bow would be best for AOE. A ranger can also 1 vs 1 ok with critical rate and critical damage increasing equipment, though since they AOE so well, AOE should be the main method of leveling. Go rangers!

40 sta is good build for tanking unblocked crit hits. Full dex is awesome damage, but can't take unblocked hits well and needs more expensive equipment. Not sure if 60 sta is needed, but more sta good for Azria and other huge spawn areas when you are at a high char lvl.

Oh also a high fire element enhancement on A bow would be good for the fire AOEs damage.

ehem id like to correct some answer u all get from this guys (exept vid man xD) umm the best build for a ranger AOE is 15 sta 15 int 15 str and xxx DEX ( BECAUSE: your blocking skills is like 50%-75% i mean 2 or 3 of the hits u block ;)) and the EQUIP PIERCING u should use is ATTACK because u MUST KILL BEFORE U GET KILLED ;) i have a lvl 51 aoe acro(soon RANGER) and i full dex and aoeing even solo whit NO PROBLEM i use demols+12 arkes+5 and Gore +4 (but u can put any u want ;)) FLYFFWORLD.c()m
