Hell, the first movie didn't come out until TEN YEARS after the original series had ended. For all intensive purposes, the show was dead for 10 years, yet did people forget about it? No. Have they still? No.

@pliskin100 I understand quite well, I just don't see how you could think the majority have forgotten it. Fans of the genre usually are at least somewhat familliar with it. It still airs on american television (Can't say for other places), meaning it has a viewerbase here. Plus, the two shows you mentioned? Naruto and Bleach? BOTH of their animation teams drew inspiration from it. Hell, a fight scene in an early episode of Naruto is actually a frame by frame mimic of one from Bebop.

I love cowboy bebop, it is by far the best anime series in my opinion and it angers me that shows like Naruto and Bleach have HUNDREDS of episodes while cowboy bebop was canceled years ago. I guess you can't make much buisness from 26 episodes.

@pliskin100 Guess we'll have to agree to disagree there :P. I'd watch Bebop, Paranoia Agent, Higurashi etc before I'd watch either of those two. Quality is way more important to me. As for business, like I said I don't think they have a problem there, it's a cult classic in a sense and still airs on a regular basis.

You can guarentee though if someone were to shout "Hey guys, we're making more Bebop", they'd get swarmed with giddy fans.
