  • i just went to the Tamiya showroom in my country...saw the Gold lunchbox version...BlingBling!! wonder how good is the build? most likely i will be running around the reservoir with this..

so after getting this kit what is NOT included?

  • My lunchbox has a 5000 battery and flips if I go to fast it's fucking awesome

  • I think I can, I think I can.

  • fail fail fail fail fail fail fail fail fail fail finally

  • i"ve still got mine from when i bought one in the late 80's, still goes really well.

  • you probably would have had better luck on the left side, it looks like there might have been more traction there

I bought my lunchbox a year ago and it was the best thing ive ever bought on ebay i absolutely love the lunchbox, use mine every day

  • I found that on my back in the day (1980's) The pins that held the body to the chassy were really easy to break abd were a bitch to replace.

  • Poor little lunchbox i'm really willing it to get to the top.

  • 1. does it have speed controll ( esc )

  • @RcZandMore yes it has

  • @sashusilver Thanks :)

  • 5:15 so close

  • Just ordered the Lunchbox the other day. Can't wait to build it!

  • @JustTurnOnTheCamera you would have a lot of fun with your lunchbox. its still the cutest rc car ever.

  • @JustTurnOnTheCamera where can i get one?

reminds me of one i had as a kid, except its was slow and under powered.. :(

  • we have all been there! budget tamiya trucks bouncing around uncontrollably, i love it!

  • Almost got it at 5:17

  • u said dont click here so i didnt

  • try harder next time ok

  • get a electronic controller, and you'll do it ;)

  • FAIL at 1:02 haha but cooool vid

  • It's funny!! :)

  • STAIRWAY TO THE HEAVEN

  • i guess either the driver is high or the lunch box has a acid battery :p

  • The first R/C I ever had was a lunch box. It was great fun, especially for the money, and could really take a beating.

  • Ehem, Misleading title.

  • go slow

  • That is what i call dedication

  • u =suck nuts dadada

  • I woul'd climb that with my car in one try >< it's a losi eight 1/8 brushless powered...

  • @MAISVATEFAIREFOUTRE Well ya DUH!!!! Brushless!!! What a gay comment!!!

  • @butha72 You don't even know what modelisme meens ... asshole.

  • @MAISVATEFAIREFOUTRE the point of YOU comparing your brushless to this, as in, your brushless could climb it...of course, that lunchbox is stock!!! That's why I said it was a gay comment. For you to call me an asshole...apparently there must be a lot of truth to what I said for you to get so defensive!! Have a nice life...jerkoff!!!

  • i blame the driver he dosent know how 2 drive

  • "dont'clicke here" ... uh.. ok

  • that thing is industructible it always lands on all 4s

  • I think you need to put some weight in the front cool video

  • I think you need to put some weight in the front cool vid

  • Just ordered my Lunchbox last night from Tower Hobbies. Should be getting it in a few days! :)

  • widać że nie umiszesz jeź dzić

  • I bet he was like "just one more try..."

  • IT DOSENT look like its a big hill but it is.

  • well its a good thing that they put those stairs there, otherwise how would you be able to make it to the rock on top of the hill.

  • 1:01 Abort run.

  • are you running a brushed or brushless motor?

  • @imjustwonderful Its the standard brushed motor. Nothing changed from the RTR Lunchbox.

  • @sashusilver ohh nice. is this the original with the mechanical speed control?

  • @imjustwonderful Hey, no its the second Edtion from 2006? i believe, it got the ESC. But the rest seems to be like the old one from 1987.

  • @sashusilver oh thats cool! cause i have an old blackfoot from 80 somethingw with that mechanical controller. and youre totally better off with the esc. mine took off on me once. plus its the same exact truck with the modern electronics.

  • @imjustwonderful I also got an old tamiya bullhead with an mechanical speed control but in near future i change it for an esc too. With the old mechanical im not so happy with controlling. Im glad for the bullhead i found an esc. ^^

  • @sashusilver dont put in a system too powerful for your truck like i did. i had a mamba max brushless system in it for a few seconds. i first thing i did was punch it. it took off hit my moms car and broke the front suspension then flipped and esc was knocked out of it. not a good idea.

  • Cool video! I can't believe Tamiya still makes the Lunchbox after all of these years. I'm thinking about getting back into R/C Cars. I used to play with R/C cars all the time when I was a kid. Unfortunately, they were toys and not the ones you build. I'm looking to do it the right way this time around since building can be a lot of fun.

  • @Robflesh hey, it wont be bad to get back to rc cars. Every time i saw my lunchbox, i get a smile on my face. I love the little cute car.

  • @sashusilver The Lunchbox reminds me of the old Rollin' Thunder monster van from the 1980s. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the monster truck that inspired the Lunchbox. I'm definitely going to get one soon. I'm going to ask for Gift Cards from Tower Hobbies to make it happen. :)

  • @Robflesh Yeah, i think the lunchbox should be the "little brother" of the Rollin' Thunder. Im thinkin of buying the gold lunchbox, but only for the showcase, not for driving.

  • lol i thought it was going up the stairs at first :)

  • hahahha its so Funny, i love the video.

  • @slickjimmy76 thanks alot for the response I'll look into it and also can you maybe sub to my Chanel I would really appreciate it I don't have any rc car vida

  • @MarkBurhoe I just ordered a Lunch Box for my 2 boys *cough* ;) from Tower Hobbies. Easy pay is pretty sweet! Should be here the 25th. Im looking in a good basic brush-less setup for it also. Hobby Partz Leopard 1/10 Scale Brushless System Combo w/ Brushless Motor/ESC/ Program Card 12.0R 3300KV I have used some of the made in china brushless stuff in my aircraft with VERY good results as long as I didn't overheat or beat/push the motor & ESC a lot :)

  • how much did you pay for it I really want to know

  • @MarkBurhoe

$110 Mark here is a link to TowerHobbies website for the Lunch Box. They even have "Easy Pay" where you make 2 payments of $55 for the kit.

  • does it have esc or is it max throttle all the time

  • @jeremy878785 the lunchbox got an esc. You can choose how fast you want to go.

  • @sashusilver bet you that thing would do well climbing stuff like that with some different suspension bro cool truck though man! :D

  • are they waterproof and 4wd?

  • @LJNERF sorry, not waterproof and only rear drive. But still a lot of fun

  • Try locking the rear diff. Just stick a punch of blue tack or sticky tack int eh spider gears on both sides. man does it make a difference. Gotta be careful ont he road though lol Does some amazing one wheel twirlys

  • its made for torque not speed

  • fail

  • hi ive just bought 1 and wus wondering was it easy or hard 2 build

  • @drum3rboi10

hi, its easy to build and a lot of fun to build it.

  • @sashusilver its just arrived the problem is now i cant find out where to buy a speed servo from so at the moment its just sitting here looking pretty

  • @drum3rboi10 a speed servo? maybe you mean an ESC (electronic speed control), the lunchbox need an TEU-101BK, google for it. ;-) look at this youtube video at 2:16 , maybe you mean this? watch?v=2-NMCLiXo5M this is an old speed control, new rc cars got the ESC.

  • do you can drive that monster truck? You must drive slow if you want to climp a hill!

  • im sure if u put less on the accelerater u might get to the highest of that hill. but good vid :)

  • I used to have one of these back in the 80's, I loved that little truck!

  • I think I've watched this about 60000 times. Always seems to crack me up every time. Its like a metaphor for my life, never quite reaching the top lol!!

  • @HotrunVideo

Hi, very nice to hear that! :-) Now i know where the 60000 views came from! :D On another day, i tried it again, but the lunchbox cant go up there. It needs 4wd. Meanwhile the sideway is still in a more bad shape. But in some weeks i want to make a new video with a scene "what is behind that stairs". if you like, you can watch it in near future.

  • Lunch Box.........very good No1...^.^

  • @TMC325 thanks, its the cutes rc car ever build.

  • @sashusilver it truely is i agree

  • Is it all Stock

    Right Out of the box

  • @Zeery1 Hi, the lunchbox is not really made for offroad. Too much weight on the back and only 2wd. With a 4wd car you can climb this hill easily. But its still a lot of fun.

  • Is it all Stock

  • go slow

  • 1:58 OVNIS ! 3:20 OVNIS AGAIN !

  • Where can i buy a Lunch Box? And is that brushless with a lipo?

  • @GcMaRtinii look at ebay, and no, its not brushless.

  • i cried 'unlucky!' at 5.00 :) me and my mate love tamiya, we got re~release grasshopper/hornet and we are seriously considering lunchbox too :)

  • @snakeyjakehall

hehe, hi. yes tamiya is so cool, i love my tamiyas too. the grasshopper looks great, a real classic. maybe sometime i got my own. cant be wrong to own them. ^^

  • Cant you just take it to the top?? common sense...

  • pirated movie. i saw shadows at 1:58

  • I'm putting a gold edition through similar torture daily. I cheered for you at 5:23

  • After the third fast run, maybe you could have tried climbing it slow. You'd have more control and it would have made it up.

  • Is this the version with a mechanical speed controller? It can be a pain when you only have three discrete levels of throttle adjustability. I don't have such skill to get up a hill with MSC, so I installed and ESC instead.

  • @michaeldavidsalt no this one got an ESC. thats the 2nd edition from the lunchbox.

  • det kan du sku da ikke finde ud af (dussel)

  • mad skills the weight of that thing

  • fail at 1:04 lol.

  • Damn, at 5:21 it was at the very top and then it just darted off to the right...sooo close!!!!

  • pretty good RC!! i got mines too

  • is this brush less

  • @ysr50fan no, its standard.

  • no offense but your driving skills need work probably better by now this was 3 years ago.

  • lol i wrecked my antenna cover and now its like a quarter of the seize it use to be

and i got the qrong dam colour of paint i got camel yello which is like orange

  • lol... i wanted the little yellow fucker to get up to the top.

  • cool ware did u get it from

  • @paddy1015 ebay ;-)

  • for a 2wd not bad :D but my losi mrc could do this and its 4wd and goes 5 mph hahaha but thats not fair!! LOL nic rig!!

  • I bought a digital servo controller for the motor with 3 second brake function when going from full FWD to REV to save the gears. also has a plugin for brake lights if you want. the best thing is the infinite throttle control VS the 3 speed original. plus my original mechanical servos kept catching fire. might be easier to ease on the throttle through the rocky section with one of those. nice luchbox BTW makes me want to take out mine again even if my MGT 3.0 truck has taken over now.

  • i think your truck is the victim of "Lead Foot" lol

  • would the tamiya dark impact get up there?

  • does the dark impact has 4wd? if yes, it wont be a problem. i tried the hill with my savage an the savage done it with the first try.

  • yes the dark impact is 4wd is the savage?

  • yes, savage also has 4wd. 4wd rocks. :D

  • give up or die trying

  • u cant drive to save your life and im 11 years old and iv got 1 of them and i can drive better then u

  • who cares?

  • are the motors and controls includet?

  • Yes, in the RTR box.

  • is that the seventy pound version

    plz tell me

  • I have no idea why this is funny, but I swear to god I almost shat myself laughing at this video. My wife thinks I'm a right sad cunt now. Awesome.

  • Yeah, I never understood why anyone would want one of these, there are Radio Shack trucks that can make it up that hill without tipping over on itself. Just save your money and get something else.

  • actually this is one of the best hobby grade r/c trucks ever made it was and is nearly indestructible

  • lol this should be on fail blog!

  • The limitations of the Lunch Box/Pumpkin chassis design can be seen here-the semi-live back axle´s travel limiter slams to the other end of its travel whenever he goes from reverse to forwards. I remember how this always used to irritate me!

  • Go up the hill

  • 4WD and some traction control would do the trick.

  • where do the steps lead 2 lol

  • that truck is so retarded. why such a high center of gravity?

  • looks like the 80s monster van rolling thunder

  • Just pick it up and throw it up there!

  • MAN THIS IS COOL

  • try crawling it so thaat you dont lose traction or power, slower is sometimes better when your motor cant handle it!

  • drive better

  • have you put a better moter in it?

  • nice car :)

    Tamiya Rockt

  • What turn is that motor.

  • at 5:23 he was so close

  • He is turning near the top so it flips or loses power lol.

  • i love those cars

  • Tamiya wants to gut high, sniff sniff, uhhhhhh

  • nice car really powerful

  • Who is author

  • Comment removed

  • these are quality cars

  • how fast does it go because i might get one

  • about 20 km/h with standard-engine

  • lol i thought to be high on marijuana

  • nice is it stock

  • the attempt at 1:02 is funny.

  • hi how long does your battery last? which battery is it?

  • about 20 minutes. its a no-name pack with 4700 mah i think. i got the battery pack from ebay.

  • interesting, my kit has come with a 2000mah battery.....I wonder how long it will last :-(

  • wanderfull...but you not dreaving

  • biggest fail at 1.03 haha

  • at 1:58 2 prehistoric birds flew by

  • holy krap those shadows were huge!

  • from the birds that flew by at 1:58, not from the car lol

  • oh man, i never realized i got 88mph with that lunchbox to went back in time! ^^

  • is this a ready to run kit because if it is does it come painted

  • i wonder whats on the other side of the stairs

  • approach it slowly dumbass

  • and where is the fun in that?

  • in approaching it slowly i mean, not dissing the video

  • so close at 5:20. nice try. i like the car. i might get an F350 high lift for christmas

  • wat motor u running on it brother? seems faster than my LB.. n also u got goood steering ther.. my one duzznt stear for crap.. wat did u do 2 urs? thanks.. francis

  • for decent steering you need to make some mods, did you have a few U shaped brackets left over? mount them where the suspension goes through the chassis, that mount some off road shocks, oil filled or not, it dont matter, your steering will be a million times better!

  • how fast does one of these go

  • Have fun watching the plastic pile of shit bodyboardin child and we shall have fun playing with it

  • Ahhh good ol Tamiya. seems to land on all fours, almost everytime. I have the pumpkin, They are sooo much fun to play with. Thanks for the video.

  • sound like a brushless.... am i right ?

  • how does it manage to stay so clean after rolling dow
