  • I was in 'Evita' at the mayflower, southampton when I was 10. I'm a girl, and I sang this as a solo on my own in front of thousands of people. I have so much love for this song!<3

  • oh... me2... i sang it last year in the badmington theater (the cast was from west end)

i am soooooooo proud of myselfe...

    <3 <3 <3

  • The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

  • whats wrong with helping the poeple and poor ones

  • this one was my most favoirte out of all the songs very special song

  • god...so beautiful..i awlasy admire and adored this song ..this i s the first time in 20 years im hearign this,,im real happy to hear it again i will put on my favorites

  • This show is ment for entertainment and it was written from one persons point of veiw which is diffrent for everyone.......so whats with everyone getting upset...I mean there was a huge debate in class about this!

  • @something9313 THANK YOU!!!!!! At least I'm not the only one who knows the truth. Eva might have been charismatic, but she was kindhearted and a really sweet and caring woman.

  • How about when she let all the most dangerous criminals out of jail to help her "guide" the people to vote right? I was there and the true american papers still have that pictures-although burried in the past.

  • Here's my take on the musical and Eva Peron's sainthood: It is ultimately more important that she meant much to other humans than what she actually did. Not to say that truth is always relative, but that all people are flawed and if we can see her for her flaws and still accept her humanity then we are the ones who are blessed.

  • Why try to govern a country when you can become a saint... There's irony for you.

  • @something9313 its not a history and is not meant to be taken as one also i dont recall it saying she was a prostitute it says she slept around to gain influence using her body, which was a common tactic used by women trying to get power so i think it labels her more as a whore than a prostitute back to the original argument about the swiss accounts idont think that insinuating that she had them is a slanderous myth but more a logical determination

  • @something9313 im not sayin that eva was a really bad person or that the perons were bad rulers all i am saying is that it is very possible that they had swiss accounts also for people who say the song is inaccurate for saying that realize the character who says it is anti peron so it makes sense for him to say that.

  • @something9313 its only been fifty or so years, short in terms of history, since she died, not necessarily a long enough time to have gathered all the evidence of her life especially secretive aspects

  • i understand that there hasnt been evidence presented but in this case i dont think that it should be ruled out. i agree that the perons were moderate compared to others but they still were hypocrites claiming to be the saviors of the poor but living very well themselves. i dont agree with so called workers regimes they are contradictory to human nature destroy ambition except from those trying to grab power and end up making their leaders look evil and ineffective, as in this case

  • @something9313 i tjink it is a safe assumption to say that the perons took some money from somewhere most dictators do. oddly it is the che character who is complaining and che did much worse things than steal money

  • @something9313 there is no evidence to say she did or didnt i know that im just saying it is a known fact that swiss accounts are very well protected and evidence would be hard to come by

  • @something9313 it is very unlikely that any swiss accounts would surface with there names thats the point of a swiss account to be secretive

  • This song is very scary, and it accurately reflects what Eva did to win over Argentine children to her cause. However, Che should not say 'get them while they're young.' He KILLED children! And poetically, a child killed him! Like I've said before, Che as a narrator bothers me. I would have preferred one of Eva and Juan's victims to have commented on Eva's rise and fall.

  • @GoddessofCoruscant

what do you mean? how is it scary and what did eva do to win them over?
