Obama has to prepare for racist whites? Come on cornballz!!We have come a long way from dat bullshit mentality, man. Don't you dumbazzez watch the news?Hell a white dude is dominating rap and a black dude is dominating golf.
1/2 Obama is thinking about 1/10 of the white racism and 1/2 Obama is concerned about 1/10 of black racism.ALL OF OBAMA IS CONCERNED ABOUT TERRORISM. SHOULDN'T YOU BE?
Obama is for everyone dumbazzez can't you see that? Damn we do have some dumbazzez anchoring the damn news.
Joins Martin Sheen, Charlie Sheen, Willie Nelson, Woody Harrelson, Eminem, Mos Def, Immortal technique, Rosie O'Donnell, the Japanese and European Parliaments in questioning the governments BULL story:
It is obvious that the wright issue will hurt obama a lot in the General. It is part of the reason so many Hillary supporters, myself included, think McCain is second choice. How can you have a man who has such negative things to say about the government and "white people" so close to you and still expect to be commander in chief? It is like hanging out openly with someone who says he hates fags and wondering why your gay boss didn't give you the promotion.
Mr sagan , if you are as a democrat are saying you will support the reublican nominee it your candidate doesnt win , tells a man all he needs to know about you . ON issues there is not a hairs difference tween hillary and obama on actual isuue positions. I would support Hillary in the general election if she won . you on the other hand , are voting white . goitta say you arent much of a democrat .
mr buford, Wow, accused of being a racist for not accepting racism. I honestly felt Obama was starting to grow on me until this situation. For me it is a character issue of deal breaking magnitude. His professed closeness to a man that says the white government invented aids to kill black people. Ignorant, paranoid, and most of all, demoralizing. Perhaps there are many in the black community who feel this way, but our first black president will not consort with them.
When is Hillary Clinton going to stop campaigning on behalf of John McCain and the Republican Party? She's the one playing the race card, imagine that!
The Wright Issue is a legitamite issue because it would have upset me. That type of talk went on not just on one sound bite, but over and over in sermons and newsletters. I would have left immediately, and would hope that the majority of churches do not talk that extremely. Does he think his kid should be exposed to this for 20 years. Too many extreme left views. It is wrong! Lost my comfort levels here! And Hillary did get a raw deal by the media and still is! But I am a McCain Supporter.
Clinton has to go... and not just from this race. She and her political machine, including Bill, are absolutely pathetic. I'm not a big Obama fan either - but their strategy is divisive and anti-democratic - it's fear-mongering. Obama took this shit (i.e. the race/pastor controversy) and elevated it to a higher plane of discourse, and now Clinton has dragged it right back down into shitty (Republican) politics. She has every right to continue, but she has no dignity in doing so.
This whole Rev. Wright thing is so stupid. First of all everything he said is true, secondly the exerts were taken out of context and if you watch the whole sermon (available on YouTube) you see the point he was trying to make, and finally since when is Barak Obama responsible for everything that anyone he's ever met has ever said?
Btw. I keep hearing so much about this "Rev.Wright" thing...yet I wonder how many people have actually read the "offending comments" he's made. 9-11 WAS BLOWBACK, not because "they hate our freedom". And America did treat it's Indians and Blacks like garbage. And the Rev's upset about it, and says so. You would ALMOST think the USA has no tradition of social criticism, like you're a bunch of babies who need to be coddled and told you're "super" all the time, even when the "ship is sinking."
You are so right! I believe partly it's because of the dislike of intellectualism which seems root very deep..and not being able to embrace criticism as a chance to evaluate and improve.. also that folks have a wrong idea of patriotism does the rest.. It's so frustrating that the media still talks about his "hateful speech"...sorry got longer than I intended : )
What a cynical display this video is! Oh it's "too sensitive" for her to get into. Yes, so sensitive that SHE won't come out and say it, but she'll have lackies like this stooge do it for her. Nice. You're not fooling anyone toots. You're phony-progressive Hillary, and a passive aggressive race-baiter. Shame!
Old news... the republicans have more ammo against clinton, like her repeated lies in public (bosnia anyone?) and her affair regarding concealing evidence with regards to richard nixon. what a loser
I wish people would look at Wright's comments in context. All i had to do was one quick search to find that the Trinity UCC of Chicago had posted several of his sermons. Soundbyte journalism will ALWAYS be faulty. Check out his comments on 9/11 for yourself /watch?v=QOdlnzkeoyQ
Ya know, it'd be nice if we could finally drop this bullshit and have some real campaigning. What Wright said in his sermons was critical of Clinton, critical of the people running the American government... but nothing he said was racist. What he said may have been inflammatory and offensive to some people, but it was not racist.
The real problem is that some of what he said was the truth. People are always afraid of bitter, ugly truths.
Another thing, he compared Rev. Wright's insendiary remarks to Chris' remarks on his show. I thought that was another way he shows that particular voting block that he does not 'get' their concerns/views. Everytime he tries to say that the Rev. is no different than his grandma or Chris or everyone else's pastor (good and bad) it will make things worse, because they don't see Chris or 'typical white people or his grandma or typical pastors the same as they see Rev. Wright. That will NOT fly.
so the woman is an out and out liar and her only argument is Obama can't win because he is black? What a bunch of pafooey. For goodness sake we'd vote in a liar before a black? This woman has no grace and for her to push this agenda and not admit her mistake for voting for the Iraq war and not admit she lied when telling stories about her trip to Bosnia, her alleged part in bringing peace to Northern Ireland, her always opposing NAFTA...there is much more and it all goes beyond the pale. SHAM!
winlestraat, they're arguing the Rev. Wright flap will affect the white vote. It's not about Obama being black. It says in the "about this video" section on the right, as well.
I just watched Obama on Chris Matthews' show and he was asked about the Rev. by a student, giving basically the same answer he's given in the past, that the Rev. is being judged on sound bites and is a good person. I think that he is digging himself a bigger hole with a certain block of voters everytime he does this. I've watched entire sermons and do not see anything that will change the minds of those particular Americans. I think he needs to talk to those people, not those who already agree.
This is the only way that she can win, by RACE, as I have stated many times she and her campaign will say and do anything to get back into the whitehouse, but where are her taxes, what is she hiding?
Correction: Everyone is commenting on the Clinton campaigns comments on the Clinton strategy.
I also contend that their sentiment has been sufficiently explained: "Others are talking about this so why shouldn't we?" Which I think is fair to the Clinton campaign and fair of the Clinton campaign.

If the Clinton campaign wants to warn superdelegates about the taken out of context and manipulated Wright comments, the Obama campaign should be warning them about all the past sexual and financial scandals of the Clintons.
Lanny Davis knows perfectly well Obama has said he wasn't at the church for the particular sermons, yet he goes to Fox and chooses to pretend he doesn't. To Fox news again.
These hypocrites, they want things to not be about Race or Gender and they still mention " White Voters, Black Voters, Etc "
Jeremiah Wright was a Marine, He serves his community for 30+ years but for some sound bites now they make him look like some Anti-American Hateful person. Disgusting.
I hope the " Super Delegates " are a little more informed than the " sheep " public.
Yes. And Rev. Wright never said the word "hate". He didn't do anything wrong, and was a social justice leader for years who welcomed white people into his church. Grrr...I'm sick of them using the rev. wright thing, but I suppose it is all that they have.
Plus I don't see how the Rev could be used against Obama in the general elections when McCain welcomes the endorsement of people like John Hagee.

I don't think Obama is a decent candidate. In truth none of the 3 are. They are either awful novice's or disastrous war-mongers or dynatics inheritors.
But the real sub-text of all this is that voter wishes don't count. For media, including this peice, to say its about some obscure reverand is quite frankly ridiculous.
I thought our democratic system was a complete joke but the US should just run up the white flag and declare itself a dictatorship.
I'm guessing you place Obama as an "awful novice". You probably think you would make a good president. Or maybe you think we shouldn't have a government at all. We have reason to be cautious and certainly we become cynical, but Obama is the once in a lifetime candidate who I'm proud to vote for. I also understand Rev. Wright's sentiment and am not afraid to defend some of what he said. Other things he said... some of it is just crazy. But Obama doesn't agrees with him.
It's not just because he is running against a woman. Initially, he was against John Edwards, Joe Biden, Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinish, Chris Dodd, and Bill Richardson. All white men. He beat them all.
