for me the death knight tier 8 is by far the best looking set...

It has a chilling atmosphere of the north and looks similar to nordic warriors. ( helm only ) :P

Kill ragnaros, then solo lucifron together with garr (in that order). Then wipe on hogger while having the debuff from eck in heroic gun'drak. You have to do all of this in less than 15 minutes

Yes, Tier is a set of Armor. its easy to reckognise that a piece of loot is a part of tier. It has a unique name like

Thassarian's Gauntlets of Triumph. notice Thassarian, with that opening line you know its DK's set. it also, beneath stats, say which class can equip it. like

100Strength

100Stamina

Requires Paladin etc.

Its simple

10man nax=t7

25man nax=t7.5

10 man ulduar=t8, thats becouse all the boss fights are harder than naxx, its one step up in dificultie.

and 25man uld=t8.5

The .5 means it shares the same set bonus so t7 helm will link with t7.5 helm, t8 helm with 8.5 ofc.
