part of the problem is over-population. Family planning should be advocated. I agree, no abortion. Also, when there's money, there's alcohol/beer drinking.

All of what you say is true. One of the biggest issues is for the Philippines to separate church and state, as so much of their culture is regulated by the church. I am not Filipino, but I do admire their strengths, culture, and tenacity. They also need to know not to throw their votes away for a few peso's, that alone might make some differences in the corruption.
