Although I have bought the full tutorial already, I do have a question about it that I would like to know the answer: Did you set the brush size to pressure the whole time?
This is a fantastic illustration, and I do indeed SEE how you work. But this is not a tutorial so much as a demonstration. I cannot replicate your process, and I no next to nothing about the settings, brushes, etc to attempt this on my own end.
Hey Jason, how do you get the smooth looking brush (looks like its being done in painter but it says youre in photoshop). Is it a custom brush or do you have something like flow jitter on?
I bought this video yesterday pretty good tips and tricks I found but I was hoping it would have taken me through his Thumbnails before hand however it didn't have I missed a video but overall cool training.....
hey i was wondering what type of adobe u used.....oh and great work, very nice....i draw also but its not as good as urs like majorly its a landslide....
@MONEYVAL9 you can, if you stay in digital too long....you can sometimes forget the feel of the real thing and reverse for being traditional so long you can sometimes forget the spoils of digital but both are spoiling for me......
@PeachInTheValley I agree, I think it is important, at least for me personally to work in traditional media where you have to own your mistakes and learn from them to develop real hand skills and make decisive decisions and live with them. With digital work you can endlessly fuss with details too much sometimes unless you are used to the traditional process. I agree that both have equal importance and I also try to devote equal time, I just love the feel of traditional inked linework.
@olbertus Same here I love the free of traditional painting and I try to paint in Photoshop and ArtRage as if I am painting traditionally so I rarely try to use the undo, try to use one brush (cause I grew up with only one brush, le sigh, don't get me wrong when I got a chance to use other brushes I did and loved it) and I try to keep my layers to a minimum, but it still doesn't beat traditional, ok I just fell in love with painting again.
weird enough, he isnt even considered as the high artists of our age and still, his art look freakin cool and full of imagination, i effing envy this guy :P

i wonder if people 1200 years from now will see this as a fine art when its actually mildly referencing tentacle porn rape

ooooh. I am a total fan of Jason Chan works * u *
Ahaha, i've always had that problem.
Digital drawings are so much more fun than traditional just because of the cleanliness of undo.
I don't think it does anything to decrease your technique...normal erasing just takes more time.
