  • i have 2 1988 28 spls...now i wanna put em both on my 15 ft aluminun bass boat, wain does than mean i could do 50?...

  • Photography blog at: mehewitt.blogspot.com

  • 2 motor? well at least it will be good for climbing big mountain & stuff like that..

  • Wow your moving pretty good. Nice old motors! thx

  • Was that David Letterman?

  • check also my vids .

  • what lake is this? - gorgeous!

PS _ theres nothing that gets the adrenalin going than trying 2 motors on a skiff!!

  • Looks fun!

  • i think im going to try this on my rib with 2x15 =)

  • lol I love the look on your face.

  • Wow, I can't believe the controversy this post has caused. A 15 and an 18 hp on the back is not ideal, but certainly not dangerous. There is no reason it can't make 30 mph with this set up, either. Anyone who argues that really has little to no boating experience. Each of those motors is individually capable of moving that boat +20 mph. So why is it so hard to believe 30 mph?

  • I'm not buying the 20mph per motor, but I agree that this clearly is around 30mph. I've been around a lot of boats that go around 30 knots (around 35mph), and this boat clearly looks like it's doing the same speed.

  • OMC rated the mph of their motors as follows:

    35 hp = 33 mph

    33 hp = 32 mph

    18 hp = 27 mph

    15 hp = 25 mph

    18+15hp = 33hp

Therefore, these motors are capable of a top speed of approximately 30 mph.

  • thats stupid 4 multiple reasons mainly the motors are diferent

  • @THA209BOSS you are retarded

  • @meccaturbo im nt the one whos retarded. my boat has ONE 35hp evenrude. works just fine. im smart enuf 2 knw that 2 engines spining at dif rpms nd putn out a dif ammount of force that probably arent even allined rite cuz sumone who knws that lil about boats and engines probably cant use power tools or hook up a proper mount. probably aint gona work right

  • TWIN Fast Twins is Cool no matter WTF anybody says, 15 & 18 who cares you probably have to throttle one back some anyway unless u have countsunk prop. I have 2 1957 18's that will each push a 12-14ft boat 27mph+ with 1 and about 25mph+ with 2 on board...

I have no doubt you were making 30mph with 2 on the same boat... I havnt tried YET you beat me to the first youtube of "twin fasttins" though.

  • cool

  • Nice idea! I have considered putting 2 motors on my 14ft aluminium boat.

  • Grady your only 19 shut up lol. I am 43 and have had my own company now for 3 years. I own my own house with a pool and have my own toys. Learn to read. I was stating what Zicer said about HIM studying electrical crap on larger boats numbnuts. When you grow up then you might understand the crap Zicer was saying and pissing people off in here. Your talking crap and got it all screwed up in just one posting lby you lol. Get off the net mommy is calling you to go eat.

  • Hey retard I was in the army not the fairy guard, I own not RENT I am 6ft 2 in and weight 250 with no belly and you are as stupid as you sound kid. I was defending him and the 2 engines you retarded twit. I was slamming zicer for saying it was not possible and downing him when it is possible. Grady since your new and spell like Zicer you must be him??? I was looking at the video cause somebody asked me to. You got a girl yet your online?B.S So full of it rairygaurd as a float fat ass.

  • @1day11 learn some proper English, you retarded fucking loser.

  • it might not look it but your boat will always go towards the smaller hp motor because of the difference in hp and prop size changes spins rotations etc. if u goin to do that stupid thing get 2 of the same motors and hp then u might have a better chance but if it was me pulling u up id be giving u a ticket for modifying your boat in a dangerous manner

  • Man you got me pissed off with that I know it all but I only study ELECTRICITY NOT HULL DESIGN garbage. Guys like you hope to make others look bad to feel good because inside you are inferior to the rest of us. SO STOP ATTACKING OTHERS WHEN YOU ARE COMPLETELY WRONG AND HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT IT Mr. I am STILL STUDY ELECTRICAL NOT HULL DESIGN retard. What have you done as far as boating besides ask daddy if it was possible since you have no damn clue. NOW SHUT UP MORON. DAMN KIDS KNOW IT ALL..

  • REALY you study ELETRICIAL, and BUILT boats. YOU ARE SOOO COOOLLL!!! NOOOOOOOOOTTTT YOUR JUST A MORON WHO PROBLY STILL LIVES AT HOME WITH HIS MOM AND STILL JERKS OFFF BECAUSE HE CANT GET A GIRL!!

  • It will plane between 7.5 to 9 mph on a 15 foot boat with the same figures I gave you for my boat. Care to still try me out???? You foolish crap talking immature boat virgin wanna be. Stick to the electrical protion and leave the important stuff to the rest of us. By the way GREAT JOB WITH THE TWO MOTORS ON THE BOAT. I WOULD SAY 28 TO 32 BY THE SIZE OF THE WAKE AND BOAT SIZE AND ROUGH WEIGHT OF THE BOAT AS WELL AS CAVITAION TRAIL.

  • By the way Froude law is only one of over 50 laws used today. Forgot to mention I used to work in marina for 18 years and build several race boats for myself and for others who paid for them and raced them. The laws you are talking about are for large ships hence the length and tonnage calculations you wanna be. If you go back to smaller boats it your factors become weight length, hp, prop sizing, wave two dispostion.

  • Since you claim to be so bright. Tell me then if the boat is 14 feet long uses a 50 hp motor with a race matched lower unit and a 4 screw prop(13.2" x 21") has a twelve degrees of bead rise at the last 3 feet of the boat how fast will it go with a total weight of 890 lbsat full throttle? Let me know when you are done looking it up so I can tell you just how fast my boat is with me and one motor. Like I said before boating basics not light bulb basics...........

  • I don't have to go to wikipedia lol but I know where you go now. While you sit in some low rated (per your wonderful grammer and they let you in?) school learning marine electronics which has not a damn thing to do with hull design or mechanics involved.... stick to what you are taught not what you think you know.... I have BUILT some of my boats. We are not talking about resistence through pipes or two bows ie. a pontoon boat twit. Were talking about a flat bottom and two prpos and motors.

  • I do not understand how SHIP figures come into play with SMALL FLAT BOTTOM HULL BOATS NOT DEEP VEE SHIPS WHO NEED LENGTH AND HORSEPOWER TO GO FASTER. Look simple basic boating is with more push (props in water and horsepower) anything goes faster. And with two props moving twice as much water as one it will go faster or ships and boats would not use them because of cost and fuel consumtion. You and your father are wrong and that is all there is to it. Why do off shore race boats use two?

  • Looking up wikipedia, are we? well, dig a little deeper. Froude lawS(yes, there is more then one) apply to many separate things. Like water pipes and resistance they make, pontoon bridge buoyancy and as you say- large displacement boats... however, derivation from the same formula is used for speedboats where F= V(m/s)/sqrt(g*cbrt(L)) L is the weight of the boat in tonnes(i.e. waterline). Try it out... jackass

  • Take your degree with boats and put it in the same place the money went.....the toilet. It is possible. I have a 10 foot glen L boat with a 20 hp motor and can hit 37 using my gps. I race it you moron. Your degree and what knot is a joke just like your writing skills lol. It's I am finishing my faculty as (a) marine eltronics engineer. Oh and your electronics has littleto do with marine physics you tard.

  • ever wondered why all people who say their boats can hit incredible speeds with small horsepower never have any vids? or if they do have vids, there is never any gps verification?

my writing skills? dude, can you get any lower? you can't respond to any of my arguments so you have to talk about my grammar? please...

  • One again your grammer is a joke. I point this out because 99.9 % of the grads I know spell much better than a 8th grader. But your useless figures are for large displacement ships not flat bottom type boats who plane unlike larger boats whp are limited tp length and horsepower. Not all of us are compelled to video things so that tards like you will say wow it really does work. If you look at the video it is MUCH FASTER than what you claim it is... Now go bugger off to mommy ok?

  • I have a 14' Springbok Aluminum boat and I love it. It has a 1994 Johnson 30hp on it. She flys, 31.63 mph. Handheld GPS verified:)

  • here is your proof. anyone with any knowledge of hydrodynamics will confirm. By modifying Froude equation to calculate maximum mass for Froude no. 2 @33mph. answer was 7 TONNES. SO unless you are transporting lead in your boat, there is no way that you hit 33 miles... absolutely no way. I like the motors, and the boat, and the fact that they work fine and everything else... but face it- 33mph is in your dreams

  • Dear Mr. Smart Guy, Gtfo!

  • and anyone with one of those good ol 18hp jobs in good running order knows that they can hit 30 easily when attached to a 14 foot rowboat. he's got a 15 and an 18. dude, what is your beef?! why can't people see awesome things as just awesome?

  • because people with awesome things are usually assholes. I'm finishing my faculty as marine electronics engineer, my dad is higher inspector of shipbuilding and he agrees that there is no way that boat did 33. at least not in this video. My beef? Only beef going on here is between this man statement and physics. If you have any knowledge of Froude equations and speed classing, you would agree. If I knew the tech details, I would prove it to you with absolute certainty

  • I didn't throw out the word asshole. you did. just remember that.

oh yeah, I have degree in bovine scatology

  • I know... because you're too dumb to have a degree in anything else

  • I will prove it to you via Froude equation that this is not even near 20mph. I will need aprox weight of your boat+each of your motors+weight of passangers and equiptment and gas. Can you give me the aprox?. You can clearly see from this vid that froude number would be anywhere from 1,6 to 1,99 meaning it is not actually on plane. Any boat that has froude number over 2 is on plane. Even a very heavy boat would be able to reach froude 2+ with the speed of 33mph.

  • I didn't say that you can't hit that fast with an old motor, I'm saying that this does not look anywhere near 20mph much less 33mph. I have seen some oldtimers hitting 30+mph but it looked waaaay faster then in this vid.

  • The boat is actually very heavy for an aluminum 14 ft (it is a Gamefisher, rated for 35 hp). Of course, that makes it run a lot smoother in the water and might make it look a little slower...

  • 33mph in your dreams yeah. hhaha

  • Boo..

  • @zicer01 ofcorse thats 30+

  • 33mph my ass- 15-16 mph tops!

  • I've hit 29.4 mph in a 12' aluminum rowboat with a 1957 18 Evinrude Fastwin

  • nice man i did the same with a 4hp johnsona and a 3.5 hp eska it cruises nicely

  • very cool, nice work.

  • I thought about this idea before, specifically to link two 55 lbs thrust 12V Endura motors. Not sure how to link the speed controls and handles together? Can you explain or post a video on how you did it?

  • the motor on your left is a 1956 NOT 1954 look up the model number.

  • Thanks - model is 15016 and is indeed 1956

  • @jhewitt445 hahahahha bet he feels like an idiot

  • does the props have to be goin in different dirctions

  • The setup ran just fine with the props both turning in the same direction.

  • @emm876 they only use counter rotating props to cancel the motor torque and is never required but is nice when they do

because you do not have to fight it to steer

  • Nice, how fast were you going there? looks about 30 mph+

  • I'm estimating about 33. Hopefully I'll be able to test with a GPS on a warm day.

  • Very innovative!!
