  • Fantastic !!! 1966 /67 ???

  • Wouldn't the neighbors complain about Mother's smell at some point?

  • Sadly,Jill Haworth passed away in January

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • Roddy McDowall would have made an awesome Norman Bates.

  • I now have a DVDRIP of this classic hard to finf movie if anybody is having trouble finding inbox me. Trap.

  • I initially saw this flick when I was in junior high (NOT middle school) back in 1967, even before PLANET OF THE APES and NIGHT GALLERY, both of which proved Mr. McDowall's mettle. This picture (there IS a difference between a 'picture' and a 'movie', after all) scared and impressed me so much, to this day I wait for the Golem to emerge from the Atlantic Ocean to wreak chaotic havoc here in the U.S. Talk about weird!

  • Where's part 2?

  • this is one o my favorites

  • This was awesome!!! :D I can't wait to see this film! I love Jill Haworth! :)

  • Roddy is playing some kind of Norman Bates rip off here...

  • watched this movie as a kid and there was this accident outside the theater-a car hit a train at a crossing. you should divide it up like other movies on You Tube and show the whole thing-aside from Freudian stuff there is other propaganda slipped in-i,.e.the Golem going to America. Love this film!

  • I saw this movie on television with my father. I love this movie! It's a shame that's not for sale with portuguese subtitles. Actually, it's not for sale in Brazil.

  • got scared out of the theater.. as a little kid.. never finished watching the movie.. this was 43 years ago.. i've been looking for this movie ever since..

ty for what you posted.. better than nothing.

  • Got my copy from the US via eBay (was a TCM channel video rip), if you were UK I'd gladly send you a copy.

  • trap0001: Would you kindly put up part 2 thanks!

  • @trap0001 wanna sell me a copy? wales here

  • @GARCOOPY - PM me your address and I'll gladly post you a copy. Is only a VHS rip but watchable.

  • TCM showed this last night, 11th May, so as they tend to repeat the films for a while it should be on again soon.

Great film but the last ten minutes are rushed and a bit daft.

  • I agree about the ending. Roddy McDowell should have at least finally got his end away if nothing else!

  • Yea big Yank guy gets the bird and poor old Roddy gets a bomb up his arse.....bloody typical

  • I saw this around 1975 when it was shown as part of the Appointment With Fear friday night season of films. The Golem scared me shitless.

The film then disappeared off the radar until amazingly Sky Movies showed it around 2000.

Sadly for me the 25 year gap between views had hardened me to the golem and I did not find him scary.

Great memories though of a film that scared me as a kid and left an impression.

  • Yep, just looks like a giant turd now.

  • That Jill Haworth was a right cracker. Roddy was never gonna kop off with her.

Yeah the golem does resemble a giant turd now you mention it.

  • do anybod know when it was on our tv in 70's

    tj

  • I saw this one in the theater,I think around 66'or'67'...,paid like 50 cents admission.Very interesting story, and they were able to realize it back when special effects were limited.Bottom line: It! was scary!

  • SCARY DUDE!That Golem.

  • at last! i've been lookin for this film for years! I 1st saw this when i was about 9-10 years old and it's one of my all time favorite scary horror clasics (and later inspired my weird creations in art/sculpture class,Mwa-ha-ha-ha!) Pls-PLEASE-post d 2nd part! PLEASSSSSSSSSSE?

  • Sorry, won't be any time soon - my video capture card has died.

  • I knew I was not crazy! My brother doesn't remember this movie, thanks! I will show it to him. But in my memory this film was black&white, anyway I was like six eight years old, never forget about the invincible Golem beneath the sea. I though Ironman 28 was the Golem in cartoon haha, they lookalike

  • Please post part two.

  • PUT UP! PUT UP! I was looking for this thing for ages but I forgot the name... I have very fond memories of this film indeed and I thank you immensely for uploading it...

  • I would like a copy of this movie. How do I get one? I live in the US, do I have to across the pond to find it? I've been on the search for years!

  • I bet Roddy McDowell was sorry to see that cute blonde guy get killed off so quickly.

  • Thanks for posting this. Could you post part two?

    Thanks again.

  • That was terrific. Thanks fo much for putting it together.

  • Is`nt the old jewish scholar-Katherine Hepburn--I heard she was trying to stretch her career by playing a man

  • She's not credited for it. Anyway she would have been busy making 'Guess Who's Coming To Dinner' at the time this was made (1966).

  • Can`t you put the whole thing on--I saw this movie when I was a kid at the Empire Theater in Manchester,N.H--the theater is still there--but some asshole who bought it ripped the interior out so it is just a shell-and its front is a 7-eleven

  • You Tube wouldn't allow it, I'd be wasting my time (they've taken my videos down before), and it would be in 10min segments anyway, You Tube do allow more time but only for useless projects nobody cares about.

  • Hey I love Roddy McDowall flicks. So could you post part 2 of this. Thanks.

  • 3:02 - that's not a bi-plane, that's a JET!

I hope the art of condensation catches on. Nice to see a complete story in under a half-hour for a change, and still know that there's a full-length version out there for when you're in the mood for it.

  • Thanks. He didn't say 'on a Bi-Plane' he said 'On his way by plane'. But yes, it's still a jet. Perhaps there were no good library shots of a plane!

  • Roddy McDowell is a genius!!!

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!

  • I have the 1920 black and white, silent

    "Der Golem"

  • Wow i remember being terrified by this film when i was little.Nice to see a young chimp called roddy mcdowell ( i think thats how to spell it.

  • Yeah it extracted dirt from me also when I was a kid. Spent years tracking a copy of this film down. Got it on eBay for a tenner in the end. Doesn't frighten me anymore.
