The Levitron Revolution can consume up to 5 watts, but that is when the electro magnets in the base are trying to adjust to the position of the magnet (when the lights flicker). When the magnet is levitating, the Levitron Revolution only consumes about 1 watt. When the magnet is off the base entirely it consumes almost no electricity.
