I really like this version (no pun intended) of the track. For some reason I think it would fit the setting of Rapture in Bioshock pretty damn well with how depressing it is. For some reason the strings make it so. Is there a version with just the strings at all?
@EverDownward Well I thou-wait... damn you and your mind tricks EverDownward! I knew it was you all along, now I shall have to defeat you at the end of the game in a rather simple patterned boss fight! But seriously. Loved the first one, second one was okay and I'm looking forward to Infinite. Oh Ryan wanted you to have his favourite golf club.
@churchy99 You may THINK it's a patterned boss fight...but what if I reverse my movement! HAH! That'll trip you up!
I pretty much agree with you. Bioshock was amazing but I didn't even get 30 minutes into the second one. I hated playing as a Big Daddy, and I hated that kind of tunnel vision that you had in first person. But I also am looking forward to Infinite, even though it's supposedly coming next year; which is fine as long as the game will be great.
@churchy99 What do you think of Columbia, the setting for Infinite?
Oh, and to your initial question, I am not aware of an all strings version of The Frail, though, if you find it please be sure to notify me; I too would love an all Strings version. Though, I suspect that there may have been such a performance when Trent was traveling with the Bridge School around '06.
Sitting in my living room, with the lights off, drinking a glass of Merlot, while watching the winter snow fall through a big picture window......and listening to this.
This is possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I'm selling my soul to Trent Reznor so I can maybe someday have the talent and musical genius he does.
i never would have thought that electronic and strings could sound so good together.
if only it worked with Brass.

@ThePawn666 i think the word you might be looking for is, 'Epic'.

This is nice version. I like how the extra sounds sound like all the things one does in their daily life sped up.
