At one stage Alan Price worshipped Bob Dylan. You can see this for yourself in the film "Don't Look Back." You can also see Bob Dylan put him down, but then again, in that documentary, about Dylan's tour of England in 1965m, Dylan had a pretty good time putting everyone around him down. That's a shame, because this is a really nice version of a Dylan song. Price has actually done quite a bit of covers and they usually exhibit really good taste. Check out the ones he does with Georgie Fame.
This is a great version. Really heartfelt whereas Dylan's genius was to sing it offhand, throw away - the point being that a song as great as this can have many interpretations.
he is only one of the greatest british musicians, pianist of the animals and graet solo artist, just watch don't look back, it's like three musketeers, dylan, neuwirth and price ;]
That is my ambition. To end up like that. Free on a bench...with a book and enough to keep the hunger at bay. And time to watch the beauty of the world. Isn't that piano accompaniment just wonderful. Those butterflies and that hair. So much is expressed in the flesh, before we die and all that remains is a skeleton. That is why living is so precious. So mysterious.
The poetry, the diction, the beauty of the images, the eyes, the solitude of the women, the demeanour of prayer, the womanhood, the young girl at the opening sequence, cannot be explained in rhyme. Yet, Price and Dylan succeed. And how free the man resting on the bench must be. Although I work in management, sometimes I feel I might be happier to be in a position like that man.

Very nice, but you missed some wonderful lyrics Alan.
You've been fooled into thinking that the finishing end is at hand
Yet there's no one to beat you, no one to defeat you cept the thoughts of yourself feeling bad.
I've heard you say many times that you're better than no-one and no one is better than you.
If you really believe that, you know you have nothing to win and nothing to lose

I don't know who you are, Alan, but I didn't expect a "near Sinead" experience. That was so tender.
