People hear you have 4000 to build and get pissed when you take a break, but I'm pretty sure the ones in the video were about 0.51% of the 4000, I have just learned a lesson in patience.
It's great to see and I love what your doing, but I am really concerned about the apparent lack of ESD protection. I don't want my Pandora zapped before I receive it from the manufacturer!! I'd like to see what you are using.
I've had my Pandora a few months now (I pre-ordered very quickly waaaaay back the day pre-orders opened in September 2008), for all you people waiting I know it must be hard but be patient, it really is worth the wait!
It sounds cheesy but that first time I held it after opening the box was a really special moment after nearly 2 years wait, I'll never forget it!
@gonepishing They're all populated by a machine. I think in this video they were just soldering on the extra resistor to fix the wifi issue in the first batch of boards.
@shaurz ah good; I was fooled by seeing the top side of the incoming boards (with the analog sticks) and thinking they were unpopulated and ready for hand soldering...
I want one but i have no idea why, is they any games that will be exclusive for them or made for them first and ported outwords.

This is why the price is high , the wait is long and by the time you get one it will be obsolete....... great job.... just like linux HAHAHA Fail

@paldepind Not sure why, I uploaded in HD but for some reason it didn't appear as an option. Maybe it's the way the mac exports them.

Ace!
Apart from the fact that many people have still to receive their Pandys and the related angst that must cause - it must be quite fun doing all this?
matholton 1 year ago
@matholton If you watch the film 'Micromen' it's surprisingly accurate.

Cool video! it really feels like a party atmosphere where a bunch of techies sit around and build cool stuff.
