@chandrabbc Raute people is almost similar to Tamang. Raute is more and probably close to Chepang ethnic group from my study. Linguistics expert have currently classified Raute language as Tibeto-Burman which confirms that Raute too are the derivatives of Mongoloid race. Even renowned Nepali anthropologist Dor Bahadyr Bista in his work(Encounter with the Raute: Last Hunting Nomads of Nepal) in 1978 have recognized this fact.
@diliprai Do you have any idea how many languages belong to tibeto-burmese group? According to Ethnologue, there are 435 languages. Tamang is a Tamangic language and Tamangic has 8 languages and if you include recognized dialects then the number is 15 b/c Tamang has 5 dialects, Ghale has 3 and Gurung has 2 dialects. Raute is Tibeto-burman language but it is from Kiranti branch and according to 2000 AD estimate, there are only 280 speakers..
@LaDorje thanks for your input. now as i said earlier that tamang, raute language belongs to tibeto-burmese family. in fact all kirat language fall under tibeto-burmese language. i am studying more about it and i will reveal to the world about our languages which has been brushed aside for many generations now. time has come to revive our language because if we do not then it will disappear from the planet. Kusunda language is extinct today for example.
