I hate that when you record in another recording format you can't watched the clips of the previously used format on the camera.

I tried to connect my HVX200 to my Mac but its not reading it. It still says 1394 Disconnect after I followed all the steps on this video and bought the 1394 cable. Any idea why its still not reading it? any feedback would be greatly appreciated thank you for the video.

@Missmack22 heyya thank you so much for advice.. Yes i believe i have the driver installed.  I called Panasonic and they emailed me this format management template so i could see back what i shot on the computer screen. They also told me HVX may not be compatible with imovie 09 im using and i may have to buy Final Cut..

Thank you! I have had my camera since they came out but have always used a Firestore. Just got my first P2 card this week. So much easier to shoot with the card but I couldn't figure out how to get it into Final Cut. Much appreciated. Worked perfectly!

Great demo. Have you ever had a problem when some clips that will transfer and others will not. The status comes up with a red exclamation and says the clip is idle in the log and transfer window in FCP.

How do I get the clips off as quicktime like in Final cut when I use abobe premiere? It seems like it doesn't have the ability to convert the MXF files to quicktime like Final cut does. Anyone figured it out?

I rented this cam & shot on it. Dumped HD 24p video into Final cut. In the canvas the video seems to have LINES in it, especially with bright colors like PINK. I dropped deinterlace in the clip. It still look a little messed up with pixels and lines. Just a little, not too much. Why? How do i fix this footage? I can't rent the Ag-HVX200 and shoot it all over. Maybe my quicktime export settings? Which is the best settings for the XML files? Anyone>?

Hey i am having no luck with getting my footage onto Final cut. Im using Final Cut Express HD. I dont have the 720/25 option but i shot all my footage in 720p/60p so i was just wondering if anyone has any more advice haha.

Using PAL I see. Makes sense considering your accent. On mine, "1394 CONROL" is blued out. Any reason why?
