Its not their fault. On my car, when i go to shift, the shifter goes to the place i want to shift but when i go to shift again, it skips and goes to a different gear. Example:

1st Gear, then Second gear, and then 3rd and then it moves and i go to downshift and boom! it skips fourth and goes back to 2nd.
