WOW,,, i was there can't believe how long ago this was i was 16 at the time. If i can remember it was at the palace now known to most as the Avalon... all i remember is that they gave out a shit of free gear haha...(Needles, Slipmats, Record bags, mixwell shirts. and some guy one a vestax turntable)
met woody at thirsty ear in sheffield, really nice guy.... that smut peddlers juggle is f"ckin nuts. still to this day one of the best routines ever, and i saw him perform it at uk finals 01
Hi there, regarding the beat it's from a People Under the Stairs 12", sorry can't remember which one, Intelligent Hoodlum also uses it on his slf titled LP, Common used it for the Corner a few years after i did this routine tho.
PS. thanks for all the positive comments guys, try checking my newer stuff if you can.
hey woody will you ever enter the dmc uk finals. you would win hands down with this routine im a big fan of uk dj's do you any battle breaks out and if so can i find it in the usa
there are some very good dj's in the uk and dj woody is up there with plus one, tony vegas, prime cut and skully. i have the 2002 uk finals and to me dj woody won. i'm from usa and he could hang with the us dj's he is that good
Go get a late pass!! Woody's been as good as most of the American guys, for the last 10 years. As for now, well, I'd put him in the World's Top 5. He's one of the few guys who keep coming up with new stuff - unlike some more famous DJs, who have been travelling around the world, doing the same routines, for the last 12 years.
the name of the first beat is Mr brady - Mudslide. the original track plus the instrumental is on the "let my record rotate" 12". Underground Hip Hop may have it stock.
