Do not judge this amp based on this review! For a small solid state amp this one sounds fantastic - unfortunately it's the victim of a bad reviewer. He's got the bass on full making the amp sound muddy. He's playing one or two power chords pretty badly then that's it. For some reason he expects the tremolo to do something when turning up the speed but not the depth. Go play one or look at pretty much any other review of this amp on you tube!!!

Anyway . WTF ! a video of the pathfinder 15w WITHOUT a demo of the tremolo (it's what makes that amp amazing : it has tremolo and reverb. and nice raw tone ... and it's pretty loud ... )

I have one as a backup for my tube amps and to take to practices. Lightweight. Clean is great, reverb okay, tremelo great, distortion bad, nothing can make it okay. Must be used with a good overdrive pedal, then it's okay.

I think that peoples idea of good tone have greatly diminished over the years. That is why when you put a good old record on the turntable it sounds better than anything recorded today on digital CD bs. The golden age has definitely passed.

Slash is different than this guy, Slash can use pentatonics in all of his solos because he actually knows how to incorporate them into his songs, while this whammy guy does not know how to use them at all.

He is definitely out of tune, you can easily hear it when he plays a chord. No matter how bad the amp is, it doesn't affect the tuning of the guitar.

Slash put a reasonable amount of effort into his stuff. I can't tell whether the amp is any good or not because they guy setting it up has no idea what he's doing. I thought my amp sounded like something that needed to go on the scrap heap until I figured out how to set it. It sounds to me like if this one was set up properly it would be fantastic for a 15 watt, much unlike the Fender alternative.

you know, i think the mic on the amp was just clipping. you can hear from the "clean" sounds in the very beginning, some of it sounds like its breaking up from then. though, i will say, a tad unprofessional to let that happen and post the video (if that is the reason for the poor quality of sound)

This is a terrible demo. The actual distortion on the amp is fair for a solid state amp, but World Music Supply have distorted the mixing board! That's why each note has that buzz to it.

I own many vintage tube amps but got this one recently because I wanted a small knock-around amp instead for practice instead of dragging my valuable ones everywhere.  Actually has a very good clean sound, overdrive worse than scraping fingernails on a chalkboard, like every other solid state amp I have ever tried. A good stompbox like the Boss Blues Driver is what you need with this.

Really good amp for "clean" sounds... forget the overdrive/distortion and reverb though... you can use the boost button to good effect on cleanish settings but the overdrive is way to biscuity and just not good enough... as a clean sounding amp with Strats or Teles it is very very good.
