  • lol you said climax....

  • thanx for the vid dude, with your help and the the magic button on traktor everything is dandy!

  • Well explained, especially with the graphs.

  • what is the first track from 0:00? :)

  • i responded with an example thats a bit different

  • is that ur sister ?

  • when you drop two tunes at once, is it safe to have both faders on full volume or are you supposed to turn the volume down on one or both tunes to leave room for the sound?

  • depends on the tunes...and the level you are playing them at. With a double drop you want em to be playing at about the same level as each other...most double drops tend to cut the bass of the main track to let the dropped track shine through, eliminating any sound level problems...

  • oh ok thanks because i usually turn the fader volume down a tiny bit on the main track to make the new track stand out more..the bass sounds warmer but you dont get the best out the main track

  • what is your set?

  • reminds me of linerider... :P

    good video 5/5

  • hey nice vid, love a good double drop, but i feel that it is a tool that has to be used wisely. Its a make or break in the mix, wheter the two tunes fall out of time or are spot on and sound awesome. I got told drum n bass works in sets of two, what id call verses, so not only is there the double drop potential, and slow mix out at the end, but there is generally a mini drop every 2 verses. I find that works alot better with older dnb and works well with cutting tunes or tune you want to feed

  • in, cut in and out, perhaps rewind, and put in again, for example a tune like zombie by j.magik n wickaman where the intro is only two verses long, then the drop directy after. Therefore you can create a longer build up. Its not a technique im all that clued up on at the moment, i saw a guy doing it at a party, but the problem was this was the only way he could mix, and after a few tunes it got really boring and predictable, the same as back to back double drops would. Keep it fresh n vibey!

  • yeah i do that.. tease in an intro over a tune, bring it out and back in untill your ready for the double drop.. not too hard to do!

  • who's that girl on the background? She's lovely :]

  • biggups for doin these vids innnit

  • yeah, only had the decks for a month or so and didn't know how to beat match well + the tts are belt driven and shit responsive to the pitch...thanks for your criticism

  • very nice

  • That song at the begginging is called "I got love" and its by "Mood II Swing" incase anybody wanted to know :)

You've got some good views mate, keep them coming!

  • there are like million ways to mix any kind of music, drum and bass, electro, house... anyway,it depends on the actual songs your mixing. if you have certain system how to play music, then you are a crappy DJ. On my opinion, if you are a DJ, you have to feel the music your playing, and experiment to develop your style of playing.

    peace
