Love this guy's work, Lucy's Child is my personal favourite. Also I love how he hates that talentless slag Cheryl Cole. Plus I adore the perm he sports in this interview .

Also people who shit on him are just morally correct wimps who can't take a dose of the glorious extreme and most likely enjoy their horror sugar coated. Least Hutson has the balls to give unrestrained balls out shocks and can craft an immensely enjoyable ride with his novels.

Shaun Hutson is an excellent Writter... i remember when i was 11-12years old

(I'm 26 now) when i bought the 1st novel by him (Spawn)... i was hooked...

Funny coming across this youtube link... that film Slugs scared the heck outta me, when it was time for bed, lol i thought they would be in my bed... funny, to find out it was a film by the ONLY Auther i read...and it being Horror lol

Shaun Hutson is one of my favourite writers and I only wish more authors british or otherwise wrote in the visceral and graphic style that he does. Though he has toned down a bit over the years I still find his work immensely enjoyable.

Shaun Hutson is superb. I have had the fortune to have met the man and found him a perfect Gent.

I have all his books including his rare stuff ( Chainsaw Terror is a gem ) and he now is the only British author giving us a book each year since the 80s whereas the others had dwindled away. The man deserves all the credit he gets.

Look at the bloke - glory hunting Liverpool supporting southerner from the days when they used to win most things. Silly fucking bubble perm. Endless gratuitous gore in his books because he hasn't got the talent to write something decent. Was happy to start writing 'thrillers' when horror went out of fashion rather than sticking to what made him his name.

Is English not your first language? Or are you simply the kind of semi-literate person whom Hutson's work, outside of teenagers, primarily appeals to? (Of course, there's some overlap in those two categories.)

And sure, I'm reading Ramsey Campbell's Midnight Sun at the moment; that strikes me as a pretty good horror novel, so far.

Also, I haven't read anything by Dan Brown or Tom Clancy. And yes, surely the only reason people might think Hutson's work is awful is due to being a 'puss[y]'.

Shaun Hutson leaves his jealous piers in the shade when it comes to no holds barred horror. Brutal, witty and always entertaining. Tongue planted in his 'knowing cheek', Hutson never disappoints with his underrated social comments. A superb author.
