This was very interesting :-D It's always good to see how practitioners of other arts apply waza. The still shots were very nice too - I particularly liked the Aikido shodo (calligraphy) at 3:43 Thank you for posting.
Thank you my friend. It means to stay relaxed and let your weight in underside of our arms and body. This makes us much more stable and makes it much more easy to control an attacker. Please Google " Weight underside" and " Ki-Aikido" you can learn more there as well. Take care!
Keep wheigt underside; a principle of body that embraces both heaviness and floating, that is, movement from center and allowing physical bodies and actions to flow as a boat floats upon the water
Keep Weight Underside refers to the stability that comes with dynamic relaxation. Tension makes the body more rigid. Most people, when told to take a deep breath, will raise the chest by tensing the shoulders and upper body. This stiffening of the upper body produces weight topside making a person easy to topple. Dynamic relaxation on the other hand lets the upper body be more responsive and adaptive. This is weight underside. It creates a much more stable posture than rigid muscular tension.
