I have 2 hamsters but they're both Syrian hamsters..... but I love both of them one's named Herbie (male) and the other one is la la (female) but I don't want babies so I keep them in separate cages I'm going to get a bigger fish tank (that's what I keep them in they have good ventilation) I am planning on either getting a 20-30 gallon it could even be a 35 gallon tank! I just want something a bit bigger cuz of la la's size... she's HUGE she's a big old fat hamster but she's sweet!

Hamsters bite because they are scared. the first few days are crucial.

Gain it's trust and try to be direct but gentle.

Comfort it when it gets all riled up and starts to jump from your arms.

Cup your hands over it and hold it close to your chest. If they can't see they will become less anxious

Warning hamsters will poop if they are scared.

#2 hamsters are alot of work and may get out on occasion. Don't get one unless you've researched and think you can handle having one. That is crucial. Some people just aren't meant to keep hamsters as pets.

But if you really have your heart set out on getting one.

Plus' are relatively easy to care for. Inexpensive, caged, but remember hamsters are always in need of attention. DO NOT leave them alone for a prolonged period of time

#1 hamsters nip because they are scared. Don't give them too long to settle in. They will get angsty in your presence. instead try an alternative direct approach. feed your little baby and treat gain it's trust. Be foward Pick him or her up. If it jumps it's just scared. Keep clam and your energy will be read. Make it feel safe like a child. That always seems to work when I'm trying to tame one.

Not all cats are hunters. Just be wise and understand the risk. That is a cute hampster but it just looks like a regular banded hampster to me. I used to raise hampsters and I had russian white, banded, golden and teddy bear. I was curious to see a panda type.

my hamster fernando is a survivor of wet tail u just have to ask for medicine from your local vet petsmart or petco however ALWAYS when u have rats or micee around and put poison around make sure your hamster cage is escape proof cuz mine almost died today because he escaped from his cage and we still had some poison around and he ate some we brought him to the vet the vet said hed be okay he gave us medicine but dont make the same mistake i made
