@yotchsy Aftermarket boards are better especial from the big 3/now 4 manufacturers. Features. Intel's boards are reference. They are cheaper because they are reference. If that's your thing go for it. But aftermarket boards are more durable, better features (software and hardware (more ports dual LAN tweaked electrical settings sound and more), higher clocks and rams supported also. Just think of reference boards as the car from the factory and aftermarket the Tuned up break the rules version.
@soulcalibur22 Also intel plays a delicate balance even when they do make a good motherboard. They cant out-tune or compete too hard with manufactures supporting them. So even "good boards" like INTEL SMACK OVER get out shined and embarrassed quick by even the lowest aftermarket "3rd party" (really first) entries. Its easier also for 3rd parties to innovate on what you've done. there compilation helps the next gen reference boards.because intel is learning from them also.
i have this mainboard in my gaming pc ^^

is there any difference between the p55-ud5 and p55a-ud5
kingElie101 1 year ago
@kingElie101
Basically P55A-UD5 is a "Revised" version of P55-UD5.
Which means it added the newest USB 3.0 and SATA 6GB/s Chipsets and ports onto the motherboard and rename it also re-release it to the market.
P.S. I know you asked this question 8 Months ago, but I think I could still explain it.
