The trilogy ends here. With Halo 3. The story line comes full circle with Chief awakening from a cryo tube in Halo 1 to returning to a cryo tube at the end of Halo 3. 343 just needs to leave Bungie's masterpiece alone. Making a Halo 4 is just ridiculous.

Reach and ODST made sense. While they may not have been set on a halo ring they were still about the Covenant war and took place around the time of the main Halo trilogy. Halo 4 makes no sense what so ever. it's set after the war with a completely different story line. Even if it is about the Halo rings it should have been called something different. "Halo" was about the Covenant war, and now that's over.

watch halo evolution the return and you may get a hint of what halo 4 stroy will be about. the return confirms that elites and brutes are still in war against each other in year 2559 and also that jackals are around as pirates or helping the brutes. also frank o'connor said that they have been seeding out piece of the halo 4 story in other fictions

@MasonSOG Why put Reach in Caps? It isn´t Reach because if you saw the trailer of Halo 4 the ship that Chief is in is destroying and being absorbed by some ray. And Reach isn´t John´s home. Chief´s home is in Eridanus II. And there is nothing left on Reach because in the Reach campaign, somewhere around 2552-3-ish it appears being reconstructed. Halo 3 was just a few months from the Reach event. Besides. That could be any planet. Maybe a Shield Planet, maybe Onyx. don´t assume stuff.

It's not Reach. The blue gas and dust you see is called a Nebula. There are hundreds of Nebulae across the Galaxy and many more small Nebulae. This probably brings the total number into the thousands. Loads of them are bound to look similar.
