Very good race. Not sure of mods on either car, but consider this. You can probably buy 3 GTO's for the cost of one Viper, so sticking that close to a V 10 is awesome. Yea those hondas are so fast but only after you put the turbo and Nos stickers on them first.. They are so quick, you can easily slip and catch yourself off-guard going 33 in a 30 if your not paying attention lol hahaha.. Yea >> independent suspension, a ridiculous interior that will put a lot of luxury interiors to shame, LS2 engine, the aerodynamics (bullet shape), doesnt have all the bs traction options and trans settings, either traction on or completely off :)...Mine stomps vipers too :)
There's no real need to talk about heritage with the GTO. The last generation of the car was a re badged Holden Manaro, which was originally a commodore concept (Not that there is anything wrong with that!). It's just that talk about Heritage doesn't really apply to the GTO. Even the name was taken from a Ferrari. I suppose it lived on in spirit though. Too bad we don't get the VXR8.

@JoeRapstar Have you noticed when someone does donuts w/ a Viper ? Too long, not wide enough, no weight over the axles = no traction.The ass swings around almost effortlessly. I saw Jesse James do it to his and noticed how the ass tends to swing on the front end's pivot. No weight where it matters and w/ 510 HP and 535 lb ft of torque, and nothing to plant the power, it's just out of control!
GTO's are very bland looking, GM should've spent some more time reshaping the Holden Monaro. I'm surprised Honda isn't raising hell about GTO's looking so similar to Accords.

They just did shitty marketing for them when they re-released them again which works wonderfully for ourselves and other GTO owners because we get to keep it for ourselves!! Every time I have someone ride in the GTO with me I get amazement.. The show and go mods on my fiancee and my gtos help.. We love our black on black with Ferrari red interior..
@jsuttonus, It's glow or go -- one makes one's choices. My 2005 GTO/M6 sports a Maggie, long tube headers, Pedders and Hotchkiss keeping it solid, drag radials and a couple of other goodies that aren't readily obvious to the uninitiated by intent. Not that the turboed teenager bait cars would notice anyway, seeing, as they do, mostly just tail lights. That's 505 RWHP, 530RWT, all with subtle, sophisticated lines that say "boring" to those whose idea of a cocktail is beer.

On my fiancee and my gto its PBM with Kooks headers cherry coated all the way back with manifold/tb/heads ported, Borla Xr-1 oval exhaust, 2800 stall, transmission strengthening work done, BMR Drag Bags, 245/40-275/35 Firestone Indy 500 tires on 18" Solar Black CSL rims (awesome!!).. Rolled the fenders myself too to name some.. Last mods I got were the stall and we put QA1 pro adjustable shocks (16 settings from drag to circuit)..

@12sturgill sure, if you havent done anything to hurt your credit rating you should apply for a basic Visa or capital one card through your bank. Once you get one youll soon get offers in the mail. Then once you have 2 or 3 go out and use them on decent sized purchases and then pay then off over time, not all at once. credit scores are based off of consistent, prompt, monthly payments. Stay one that pace for a year or so (credit ratings take almost a yr to be worth anything) and by that point
@12sturgill you should have a score decent under for a car loan for under 20K. It worked for me and i was 20 at the time, so do what i said and itll most likely work for you too....warning, late on a single payment to any of them, and all your hard work and patience will be destroyed. Your credit rating is worth so much more than ppl tend to believe it is. oh, and the z51 was so fucking stiff that people hated it. so yeah, 'cheap' is right.

@alex369 Youre an idiot. The corvette ZR1 weighs MORE than a viper. Just cause it has a big V10 doesnt mean it weighs more. The viper has excellent stability and steering response, and its got serious balls from 1000rpm to redline. Corvettes are nice, but quick sucking chevys dick so hard holmes.

The price of your ZR1 is comparable to the same ACR viper viper that holds the fastest lap time...so the ZR1 doesnt "kill" the viper. you mention 2 less cylinders? The ZR1 also has a supercharger. The potential for a viper is way beyond that of any Corvette because it's an 8.4 Liter N/A v10Engine.

Street tires versus racing tires. Lets be realistic here. Let's see the ACR do it on street tires.

@12sturgill sure, if you havent done anything to hurt your credit rating you should apply for a basic Visa or capital one card through your bank. Once you get one youll soon get offers in the mail. Then once you have 2 or 3 go out and use them on decent sized purchases and then pay then off over time, not all at once. credit scores are based off of consistent, prompt, monthly payments. Stay one that pace for a year or so (credit ratings take almost a yr to be worth anything) and by that point

It worked for me and i was 20 at the time, so do what i said and itll most likely work for you too....warning, late on a single payment to any of them, and all your hard work and patience will be destroyed. Your credit rating is worth so much more than ppl tend to believe it is. I mean hell, iv got a 400HP muscle car on a doable monthly payment....and im only 21...lol most kids my age drive civics or camrys lolol
