  • Meu Deus, da onde ta vindo tanto gringo?

  • @yannarena51

  • this is such a hard move.

  • ...half moon kidneys?

  • u could tell hes tired

  • why da fhuk r u starin at his feet

  • good video...only need one more thing... music. But i link this kind f videos

  • man i wish this guy would show it from a different point of view , it'd be so much easier to grasp

  • for me.. learning is easy.... putting them all together and keeping a good rhythm is difficult :(

  • If you are having trouble with this...well....It does say ADVANCED Capoeria, so maybe find video of basic moves? Or, I dunno, do what they tell you to do in any martial art (or dance for that matter) and exercise...pushups, situps...you know? Thats how you strengthen your wrist. Also, you cant really learn Capoeria for real over Youtube, go to a class, thats the only way to really learn the right way, this video is good for getting a basic understanding of the concept, not teaching.

  • you stink lol right @evelfresh

  • you stink

  • expertvillage You should podcast these!

  • hahaha dying smoke detector

  • is this martial arts or break dancing?

  • @evelfresh martial arts... and btw did you know that break dancing evolved partially from capoeira?

  • @aerandir117 i highly doubt that.

  • @evelfresh is said partially, man.. and that is true

  • @evelfresh don't be so surprised, Capoiera was originally a dance before it became a martial art

  • @Blazureokami it was a martial art first, it was disguised as a dance to keep knowledge of it away from slave owners.

  • @evelfresh martial arts

  • Great

  • his feet are so dirty!! hahaha!!! nice move...

  • i am a master of a form of capoeira i've invented for fat people, it's called "capoEATa" and it helps me do fucking cartwheels all the way to the bakery.

  • I don't know if I see something that apparently the rest of you don't, but he does it slowly so you all can understand what he's getting at, he doesn't need another camera angle cause I see what he's doing just fine. And he's teaching it free. Cut the bro some slack.

  • this movement is called meia lua no braco or meia lua baixa. maybe thats what they this movement in his school but all the different schools I've been to in brasil, canada, usa, china, and japan, i've never heard it by this name. it sound like some just guessed the name because it looks similar.

  • @capoeiraevida You realize that there are a LOT of variations in the names of capoeira movements, right? And just because YOU never heard of it, doesn't mean it's wrong or 'guessed', right? Don't be pretentious.

  • @capoeiraevida No, you're wrong. You're thinking of a different move. Meia Lua Queda de Rins literally means, "Half moon Drop Kidneys," or a meia lua supported on your kidneys. All the moves where you put your arm into your side have the "queda de rins" in their name.

  • Very good video, I'm not to great with my elbows...

The dirty feet shows his determination, whatever it takes attitude, a lot of training... well that's what I think bout it, or he was just runnin arround in the dirt before the video. :P

  • I agree with perminter007 you need to go into more detail. can you tell me how to strengthen your wrist?! because i've been doing capoeira for almost a month now and my right wrist hurts. how can i make it stronger?

  • I've been watching your tutorials for awhile and you need to be more in depth. atleast one more camera angle and try to explain diffculties people may experiance clearly your skilled but it is a challenging art

  • TIENE THE PIES BLACK JAJA

  • is there any way to see this from a different point of view cause i'm little confused on how to position myself, n i keep having trouble kicking with the lower leg in this move any ideas on this ???

  • What was the guy saying in thebackroound of the vid at 1:16 1:19

  • it looks like moving in and out of a hong 10 freeze, incorporating this into my breaking

  • @AznRiceWonder this is true although these capoeira moves tend to use the elbow on the side rather than on the front so for people that are a little less flexible the capoeira movements are harder at first, just make sure that you try to keep your elbows on your sides for these movements as your flexibility allows as this will make your movements more fluid as you move around.

  • Lol, if you learn the Baby Freeze, then it should help alot with this move because part of this move requires you to do the Baby Freeze for a short amount of time.

  • i like ta move iit move it a laka demone alala huppala gasolina

  • the sound is too low....can't really hear what he says, even after I max the volume....

  • who gives a f*ck about his feet ? Are u pervert about feet ? LMAO !!!

  • Wrestler's habit. We tend to want to keep the area that we're gonna be falling in clean to avoid shit like ringworm or other various infections.

  • @anjoLas Lol foot fetish xD

  • Dude, what the fuck means LMAO. I'm Spaniard and here we use lol, but no LMAO. Can you tell me what it means?

  • Comment removed

  • @Kipuini uau, nowadays, u don´t know what " LMAO " means ! BAHAHAHAHAHA ! Go watch Family Guy, u duch.

  • @Kipuini Laughing My Ass Off.

There's Also Roflmao Rolling On the Floor Laughing My Ass Off.

  • @Kipuini And don`t forget `bout LMFAO = Laughing My Fucking Ass Off . LMFAO xD

  • Sure! :P

  • LOL!!! my apiloudou (spelling?) is salsicha as well, though im probs not as gud as this guy, having said that jus tried this move and it's rly sick wen u get it, rly gud move 4 angola

  • It´s spelled "apelido", which means nickname. And "salsicha" means sausage, which is also the name of the character Shaggy in the brazilian translation of the Scooby-do cartoon. As you can see, this guy in the video even uses a green shirt, just like Shaggy. Funny coincidence, right? Hope I helped. =)

  • tyvm, i knew the meaning but oh well, its an awesome name, so ironic that he is wearing a green top and his name is salsicha means shaggy, hadnt noticed that b4

  • mine is Tartaruga. i guess i've heard worse

  • meia lua is with two hands, and rabo de araia is one hand

  • in my group its the opposite lol...

  • RIGHT! meai lua de compasso is with two hands on the floor. compasso is with one hand i mean

  • I was so sure that rabo de arraia was meia lua with no hands... Are you guys sure its the same thing?

  • It varies from group to group...

  • Dirty feet..... vibram five fingers can help

  • capooeira on the beach isn't as much fun as it sounds either. You keep getting sand kicked in your face

  • @Fredattufftimes yeah, but I'm sure it looks cool.

  • @Fredattufftimes and your balls are showing...

  • @Fredattufftimes yeah, i lose balance easier too since the sand is never even and my hands keep sinking.

  • @Fredattufftimes wear goggles LOL

  • All capoeirists have dirty feet... dirty floors... thats what pisses me off at my Capoeira club :(

  • It's called soap. (just kidding) Yeah, it's even worse when we demonstrate capoeira in the street...

  • lol!!!!!!! True that! Try grass... on the grass i mean. When u step on a twig u shit brix!!!

  • HAHA!! Grass! LOL!

  • thats interesting, is there a difference between a angola meia lua to a regional meia lua, because im training in angola and we do it differently. infact wat hes doing, we call a habjahi (spelling?)

  • yeah, i wouldnt follow his example necessarily, (no offense), his technique isnt that solid.

angola and regional have different names for the same movement (rabo da arraia/meia lua)

another thing is the step he performs at the beginning. dont just step in everytime thinking that its the "proper" way. you would step in to close the distance or to feign a rasteira- whatever your reason, it needs to be a conscious decision to step. little details, but necessary for a genuine unerstanding.

  • There is a difference in what they call the movements. Normally what is called a rabo de arraia(= the way it´s spelled) in angola is called a meia lua de compasso in regional.

  • The only difference is that in Regional style the meia lua is higher and in angola it is lower. Higher kick for a more upright game and lower kicks for a lower game. And the portuguse word for sting ray is the same. Some Mestres say meia lua and others habagiheia (spelling?) Nice to see that you try to learn more outside the road. Good luck with your training.

  • @Orcawhale45: You got it about 20% right, it's spelled "rabo de arraia". ;-)

  • Great videos by the way. Nice control and style! Can someone do a video of how to do Macaco into Queda de Rins. If someone has seen one can they send me a link.

  • why is that advanced capoeira move?

  • well just try it. i can do it but it took me some time to get the balance down. its hard enough to control a normal miea lua de compasso. doing it while going down to a queda de rins adds the use of more balance and arm strength whereas the normal de compasso is just a spinning circle kick that you can flow through more easily.

    Congratulations, Very Nice!!!

    Bye

  • cant hear anything

  • Is his name Salsicia meaning sausage?

  • lol maybe

  • lol i wonder how he got that nickname =p

lol the mestre he played with in the batizado must have been hungry to name him sausage.

  • i'll will break myself trying thist shit

  • indeed

  • thats just the basics lol

  • Accroding to me...the basic is Meia Lua de Compasso..but another foot also use for rotating kick..you know meia lua de compasso just use one foot.

  • isn't that compaso and not meia lua??

  • the name is meia lua de compasso..but there are lots of different names for the same moves from group to group, so you can easily get confused..

  • Guys watch carefuly... this is combination of meia lua compasso and and queda de rins.

  • its meia lua di compaso.

your thinking of meia lua di frente.

  • If you say anything here you should first watch all video.

  • lol did you guys hear the lil crack in 00:55? That's how dangerous one queda-de-rins can be, your wrists suffer a lot with this one if you don't do it right...took me quite a while to get this one right, and sometimes I still miss it when I try to do it on some ocasions (aú com queda de rins, salto do gato com queda de rins and etc)

  • its true because everytime i do esquiva baxia and troca de negative my left knee always cracks, it worries me sometimes

  • every time i try to queda de rins my wrists hurt like hell

  • try using those grip workout doohickeys and use them like crazy before training anything with your hands on the ground... also I've found that profuse amounts of tiger balm help with the pain necessary to learning capoeira :)

  • yea this aint that difficult

  • thats pretty cool.

i thot meia lua looked cool enough.

i need to learn how to do meia lua queda de rins.

  • WOW, that's great buddy

  • this isn't actually an advanced move, I would say it's a medium difficult.

  • as true as that, there are still those people out there with no talent for this at all. I can see why he said it be somthing of his oppinonated calibur. It's a lot like a baby freeze(breakdance term/ weak power move) and if it is done incorecctly you could break your arm...

  • nice

  • second comment from hun:):):) Good move:))

  • bravo to mestre oh!

  • first comment :D
