It is impressive technology. And it does sound great for a robot. But a robot will never be able to play like a human. A robot can't feel emotion which is a huge part of music.
Yeah, except the "robot trumpets" at HOTR don't actually play, and this does. I still don't know how these guys have accomplished this... the only prior example I can think of is a robot trumpeter from the eighteenth century (I believe), which is in a museum in Germany. It is pictured and described in Alexander Buchner's book "Mechanical Musical Instruments" and apparently really played at one time, but is not in playable condition today.

Why? I think it sounds good. There is also a robot cornet in the Netherlands that can play up to MIDI note 94
