Master of Reality is far and away the best metal album of all time IMO. The top 20 metal albums to me would be dominated by Sabbath, Priest and Maiden. Those bands could play and had great singers. Todays metal bands are mostly thrashers and growlers which I can't really consider music. You need a good singer like Ozzy, Halford, Dickinson, etc. to make good metal not some "growling dickhead". LOL It's not just how fast and loud you can play either.

I'm 13 and I'm ashamed to say that I live in the generation that I do. Music sucks now. I have been raised my entire life to like classic rock like this. Not that pop mixed with techno mixed with rap shit. "Music" isn't even music now. All you have to do is hire a producer to make the melodies and rhythms for a song and you don't even have to have talent to make songs. Check out "stoned on weed and acid" bands like Electric Wizard, Acid King, Saturnalia Temple etc. They're playing the same kind of music Sabbath was playing in the early 70s, but more distorted, more drugged-out and have the same lyrical themes: the unknown, gloom/doom, drugs. It's worth listening to them, man. Peace !
