  • The Judge sounded bored.

  • i'm going to sound live a complete idiot, but was Roger the judge or the lawyer?

  • @lio543 Roger was the "defendant". Tim Curry was the Lawyer, and Thomas Dolby was the School Master, and Judge was Albert Finney. They wanted to get Sean Connery to play The Judge which would have been epic.

  • @parallaxspectre

And it sounds as if they just played the original track for Roger's vocals.

  • Opino igual a ese juez le faltaron huevos...

  • Probably was a good performance while tripping on acid. The orchestra was great, The effects. But the stage was bad. The Judge seemed like a peaceful old man, the wife was full of herself and gave a poor performance. They didn't know how to act it out and they looked ridiculous in their cheap costumes.

  • @008DREW Exactly what I was thinking. As much as I love Pink Floyd and even everything Waters has done on his own, this performance is just downright bad. If I went to see Waters or ANYONE assosciated with Pink Floyd, I'd expect to be blown away.

  • What an amazing show! Especially considering all the political turmoil in Berlin.

  • Oh my God. Nigel Thornberry, the guy who wrote "She Blinded Me with Science", and Hercule Poirot, ALL ON THE SAME STAGE?!?

  • where da fuck is roger?

  • @66057601 behind the wall =)

  • MARIANNE FAITHFULL <3 <3 <3

  • Roger Waters IS Pink Floyd

  • the teacher sings funny :-)

  • Saw Waters in 84. Best Concert Value ever. What a show. I would like to have seen this updated version. What a show.

To those of you not Pink Floyd fans. Just go to one of these shows and tell me about it again.

  • tim curry would be better the judge

  • 3:35 when that guitar comes in is just phenomenal. Along with the rest of the song. Song? Is this a song? Or a piece? Or an act?

  • 2:36

    Sounded like Cartman..

  • @D3RK3 Haha!!

  • @TheMUSEism

    Did it not?

  • @D3RK3 it totally did! :D

  • @D3RK3 lol you're right

  • ESPETÁCULO!

  • ugh the worm is awful in this performance

  • @2010mattyg He could have done better.

  • TIM CURRY???OH MY GOD!

  • Tim Curry as the prosecutor? Well this is just the greatest thing ever.

  • now that's a wall!

  • GO ON JUDGE SHIT ON HIM

  • I like it when Roger sings all these parts

  • @WealAndWoeOfficial I think he's made it a bit too theatrical. He's kind of ruined it, don't you think?

  • There must have been some atmosphere at this. The piece has such resonance for the city of Berlin. Both The Wall itself, and the fascist dictatorship depicted earlier in the show.

  • holy shit thats sweet

  • The Lawyer sounds like Tim Curry

  • @Dreadmonkey1 I'm pretty sure the lawyer IS Tim Curry.

  • @Dreadmonkey1 Yep it is Tim Curry.

  • @Dreadmonkey1 It's him.

  • This is fucking REAL music.

  • Can't understand why some people only have bad things to say about someone's vision and creativity? If you don't like something, just click on to something else? Usually the person saying how bad something is, might be a jealous that they lack the talent to create something this good? So before you make fun of someones talent, remember that once said you can't take it back and leave yourself open to everyone else to comment about you?

  • fucking amazing!

  • also just imagine how emotional it was for the ppl who lived through it....

  • i am 12 years old, i watched this concert when it came to buffalo, ny. best concert EVER! i have been to over 30 concerts too. roger waters has a lot of talent to come up with such a story and history to make it into a long show. 10 thumbs up to him.!!!!!

  • 11 people have never

    -Done Drugs

    -Had Sex

    -Listened to real msic

  • <3

  • OH MY GOD THE ENDING IS EPIC

  • Tim Curry! <3 :D

  • OMG.!!!

    Is a play..!!

  • That Judge sucked... only flaw in the whole Opera

  • amazing

  • Oh god, JUDGE WORM! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Holy shit! This is great!

  • omg, when they start going tear down the wall, the crowd should've chanted it as well, it would've been so damn LOUD!

  • excellent

    outstanding

rage against those who remain aloof (only spking up my mind to myself!!)

    GREAT POST ECUBE!

  • exelent !!!

  • the school master scares the shit out of me.

  • That judge in no way shape or form resembles an ass, and that angers me... Incidentally, Tim Curry singing this is awesome, but Malcolm McDowell did the *entire* thing for a tribute album once. He had Tim beat.

  • 10 people accidently pushed the dislike button

  • Lol the fat judge was supposed to be funny, right?

  • @LegoPatapon Yes.

  • There are 10 assholes present here! idiots!

  • call the school-monsteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr!!! = )

  • the people weren't that good but the tearing down the wall was

  • How I wish, that I could have been there...

  • That judge wasn't angry or powerful enough.......

  • @c350Zee I agree!

  • I love it... and that part where children sings... chills me...

  • Thomas Dolby's the man...

  • i think the wife sucks more than the judge

  • Tim Curry plus Pink Floyd=AWESOME

  • 4:18 he tee bagged the crowd?

  • @trailerparkboys1996 That made me rofl. Thank you, lol.

I personally think the Judge was incredibly lacking, even in light of his tea-bagging of the crowd.

  • HOLY SHIT THIS JUDGE FAILLLLSSS.

  • @trailerparkboys1996

    i love the judge

  • @kindofmagicmike then your on crack,

My dog cud prolly do a better job as the judge, with more feeling and expression.

  • @trailerparkboys1996 I think that was Albert Finney. He was already pretty old by the time they did this concert...shoulda got someone younger with more fire in 'im.

  • @jjobie I don't think so that Albert Finney was the problem, because Tim Curry wasn't as good prosecutor as he could be, so I think the main problem was with the directing.

  • @VincentiusFaust People are griping about Finney? Geez, Roger couldn't even be bothered to sing this for the occasion! They're playing his original vocals!!

  • @VincentiusFaust

If you were there you would only say that this was definitely the best live concert of your life, ever! ;-)

  • Oh my god! I thought the prosecutor sounded familiar! That's Tim Curry! :O AMAZING.

  • Since I belong to the One True Church of Pink Floyd, I am just about to lose my (@(# in anticipation of seeing the new "The Wall" this fall. Roger Waters, you've answered about 50% of my dream to see one last Pink Floyd concert!

  • @mahajohn - did you get to see any of Roger's Dark Side shows from 2006 - 2008?

  • Lip syncing

  • i have always wanted to see how they tore the wall down

  • I got Atlanta tickets!

  • Holy fuck, that judge sucks.

  • Would it be too wrong to say this was my favourite reason for the berlin wall to come down?

  • @SocijsOntwikseltsaar

Why not. I was there during the tear down and everybody seemed to be chanting the same thing. "Tear down the Wall" "Die Mauer Muss Weg". And since Pink Floyd actually played at the Wall, I would say that you would not be wrong.

  • The Judge totally sucked here. Waters should have done that part himself.

  • The judge needed a more thunderous voice.

  • the judge at the end was such a disappointment, such a pussified voice... should have gotten dio or ozzy or bruce dickinson

  • Nothing like the Pink Floyd concert I saw when the stage hands really built a wall made of cardboard boxes that hid the band out of view from the audience. Until the climatic ending when they tore down the wall. Revealing the band for the end of the show. Roger always made his show like a Rock musical. The actors in full costume while playing the roles of all the characters involved in "The Trial." Both uniquely different but both absolutely brilliant, stunning concepts. Remarkable!

  • ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!!!

  • Tim Curry <3

i loved this show btw. it's pure art! from the elaborate costumes and props to the wall itself!and the music.....genius! :)

  • 1:10 SLENDERMAN!!! =O

  • es lo mejor despues de que tiraron el muro de Belín

  • vERY TWISTED! pf AT THEIR MOST WHACK-A -DOO

  • holy shit this is pretty amazing haha

  • in july 2010 it will be the 20th anniversary of the berlin production of the wall concert with a wall that measured over 500 ft long by 8 stories high remarkable that it only cost 10 million dollars to produce this amazing concert.

  • oh man this is amazing

  • That;s the most amazing live ever. inspirred performance and awesome fantasy!!! pink floyd were ahead of their time. timeless...

  • @Derrymaine148

Pink Floyd would still be ahead of their time if they came out in the here and now. To think that this album is now 30+ years old is astounding. i think they will be relevant in 50 more years.

  • my

    favorite

    part

    of

    the

    wall

    <3

  • yep, that would be Tim Curry :)

  • aint that prosecutor dude the evil clown from IT? if so! fair play!!

  • woow......very good theater rock....

  • lo que daria por estar ahiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • Judge loses strength in singing but does it very well.

  • @MegaMateo16 albert finnly lip sync the judge part in the berlin concert of 1990 while everyone else recorded their parts then lip sync it during the concert..

  • Quite possibly the greatest "concert" ever put on by any contemporary rock band. So many layers of beauty and despair weaved perfectly into a vignette of pure awesomeness. Pink Floyd: The Greatest Of All Time.

  • whoa this is so cool!!!!!!!!

  • When i was 14 years old i went to this concert with my parrents and i have to say IT WAS THE GREATEST GIG EVER A CONCERT ON THE BUNKERS WHERE HITLER COMIDED SUICIDE ON YOUR RIGHT A WALL (RUSSIAN) AND ON YOUR LEFT A WALL(AMERICAN) AND THERE ON NO ONCE LAND A CONCERT.

  • @dirkjan1975: I totally agree with you, I was 24 and lucky to be traveling in Berlin...what an epic concert. I just saw "The Wall" again in Los Angeles this week - hard to believe it's been 20 years...it was fantastic, for sure, but nothing compares to 1990 in Berlin...wow, just seeing this again takes me back to that special time and place. I went to the Potsdamerplatz a few years ago - hard to believe it was "no man's land" back in the day...I am glad you were there too! :-)

  • The humanity's great moment ... Fall the Wall !!!!

  • tear down the wall

  • Freakin Awesome!

  • That is one Hyperactivated teacher. Wonder if He Blinded his students With Science?

  • ROFLCOPTER

  • Dude this is soo crazy I wish I was there.

  • I thought Albert should have punched it up a little more at the end

  • Comment removed

  • Wow. It's so awsome how they did this part live. And of course, Albert Finney and Tim Curry performed in this. It's amazing!

  • Ah ofc it's Tim Curry I didn't see it before. AWESOME

  • Woah, woah, wait...Dr. Frank N. Furter was in this?

  • Yes, the prosecutor

  • Hm...he's not quite as sexy in this.

  • WOW...just WOW

  • This is incredible! Wish I was around back then to see this live. Great band.

  • is there video footage where pink floyd dose the wall live with puppets?

  • i dont think they ever did that.

  • ive seen pictures of them playing the wall live in this months guitar world magizene and theres a huge puppet of the teacher in the backround ive just never seen footage of it

  • oh THAT puppet. its actually an inflatable and its from brick in the wall part 2 and happiest days of our lives

  • Wow, it was really good timing that the Berlin Wall came down around that time as well, gave them the perfect opportunity to have the show in Berlin.

  • No, Richard Wright died at age 65 on 15 September 2008.

  • Roger Waters died?

  • Roger will never die. I don't mean his music will live on forever etc. I actually mean his heart won't stop beating. He'll still be around when the sun finally burns out.

  • he died?

  • yep thats tim curry! fuckin awesome!

  • is that Tim Curry?

  • I wish the lighting was better.

  • Tom Dolby...

    Hehehehehehe

  • fifer91, yes, the Berlin Wall had similarities to Roger's Wall, but Roger's was a metaphor for the EMOTIONAL wall we build in order to protect ourselves. That's why the Judge's sentence was to have the wall torn down to "expose him to his peers".

I do agree that it was great theater.

  • that was honestly great theatrically and the end was beyond words.. tear down the wall... for anyone who didnt get that its based on the berlin wall which is why the crowd was soo riled when they tore it down. Tear down the wall is what president ronald reagan saiid during his speech after the soviets were stopped

  • Seriously?

    Berlin Wall?

You have no idea what this album is about.

It's got NOTHING to do with the Berlin Wall.

  • yes... reagan did say that... but he said it 8 years after the album was released... and if you watch closely, they project part of the berlin wall on the wall before they tear it down...

  • LOL At Thomas Dolby.

  • all i cans ay is id hate to be the janitor

  • "fills me with the urge to defecate".. that was cool

  • go on, judge! Shit on Him!!!

  • hahaha ... on pink?

  • that's what they say on the studio album track after what you said

  • i hadn't noticed that , i'll listen it

  • @ManInHat361 haha

  • ..lol...... "showing feelings of an almost human nature.. ." ..

It would be great if our reptilian politicans were capable of this..

Sadly they're incapable and far lesser evolved beings than hu-mans.. ! right rog?

  • Love what Albert Finney does at the "fills me with the urge to deficate" line. lol!

  • ta wenisimoo el videoooo saludos a pink floyd desde chilee!!!!!!

  • not a fan of Ute Lemper or Marianne Faithfull here.

  • Instant confirmation is when some tard named billymarkz rewards an uncanny interpretation of the mind of a melancholic individual with mockery,

  • you are gay if you think this soap balay show is good, its not even floyd if u ask me lol rogers is 40% floyd all thes e bad actors are a joke this play suks wall 81 ftw!

  • you use ignorant language.

  • Hit a nerve did i?.Roger Waters in my mind is the best creative writer around made Floyd what it is today, dont get me wrong i love Davids work too but you got to respect roger too matey,

  • If your gonna criticize, please learn how to speak properly first mate.

  • It's not a play...

    And what's a soap balay?

  • this is fuking weird man i dont like it at all seems like a corny school play ...gae gae gae,lol floyd is dope and roger waters is a dope singer well awesome but wtf this is weird bottom line!

  • you one hell off a knob shite mate, it's pure genius pink floyd is one of the most successful bands in the world and your bad mouthing them why bother if you dont like em then?.tosser

  • that's to billymarkz by the way

  • all i can say is " TEAR DOWN THE WALL"

  • damn! I never get tired of this concert (yeah, I have the dvd, and I still look it in youtube -_-) anywho, if I ever see the judge looking at me like that (when he sings his part) in my room, or anywhere else, hell, even in datlight, I WILL go crazy heeh

  • I use to own this until a friend borrowed it. Thomas Dolby as the teacher...awesome piece of work.

  • awesome video, the judge's part was kinda weak imo
