Looks like Hazart Jigar Muradabadi composed this touching ghazal at the fag end of his life reflecting the regrets that old age brings. It is the way Jigar Sahib expresses his thoughts and feelings that makes it a super cool ghazal. Sab kahan kuch lala o gul mein numaya ho gai khak mein kya surteen hogi ki pinha ho gai .

this is a slightly different bandish from the one she recorded later. but it is very nice, indeed. certain places (iraade) are swweeter in this...and some in the other one. my father knew her...and we heard

her live at gatherings...sitting a couple of feet away. whenever i meet the queen of ghazals again, i will request her to combine or fuse the 2 compositions. wow! that will be something else...
